So I just bought an Odyssey Black Series i #9 putter....but I so wanted to get a Scotty Cameron Del Mar 33"....but noone in town had one. They all have 35" Camerons so I would have to order one I guess....IDK maybe Ill just give it a shot on the practice green and take it back if I dont like it. Ill keep u guys updated.

I have the White hot XG #9, I really like it, real nice feel and the shape helps me aim to the hole, now the only thing is just to put in the hole every time.

In my 's bag:
Driver: HiBore XLS 10.5, Fujikara Red R Flex shaft, and Winn PCI grip
3w, 5w: HiBore XLS Fujikara Gold R Flexshaft, and Winn PCI grips

I have a scotty and I use a white hot #9 because I love the feel. I'm not knocking scotties but give it a chance it might grow on you.
Driver: i15, 3 wood: G10, Hybrid: Nickent 4dx, Irons: Ping s57, Wedges: Mizuno MPT 52, 56, 60, Putter: XG #9

I played the White Hot XG#9 for a few years and I loved the putter. I loved the look, feel, and the weighting of it. It is a great putter if you have an arc style stroke. I wanted to switch to a more straight back and forward putting style (i found myself pushing and pulling putts with an arc stroke), so I switched to a Scotty blade. The heavyness of it makes it more condusive to that type of stroke. Additionally, I wanted to feel more "connected" to the ball, so I wanted a milled face.

So...if it works for your stroke and you like the feel of inserts, the XG#9 is a great putter!

What I Play:

Driver: R9 460
4 Wood: G15

Hy: Callaway FT 3Hy

Irons: AP1 4-PW

Wedges: Vokey 52* & 60*, Mizuno MP-T 10 58*

Putter: Newport Studio Select 2.7

Ball: Nike One Vapor

Well after rolling putts for over an hour Im going to return it. I am going to have Golf Galaxy order a 33" Del Mar. I used to Love the #9....but the Del Mar just feels sooo right.

Good choice. You wouldn't have enjoyed, and you probably wouldn't have putted as well, if you had any doubts in your mind about wanting something else. It's so important to have full confidence in your putter. That..and...how nice will it be to have your own personal putter - directly from Scotty Cameron, fresh in a box, that you know no one else played around with in the store!

The funny thing is, I got a giftcard from one of my manufactuers so this is a free putter. That makes it even sweeter.

I think i was just so excited and settled for a club since they didnt have the one I wanted in a 33". ill keep u guys updated after lunch today.

Well I just returned the Odyssey to Golf Galaxy. They have the 33" Del Mar putter with the grip still in the plastic in their Ft. Meyers store so they should get it in tomorrow or Friday. Now I'm pumped and will feel confident over my putts.

      Flying into ATL on Sept 11 (Thu), early, leaving Sept 15 (Mon), late. Dates are fixed. Trying to hit the best RTJ Trail stops without spending half the trip in the car.   Plan: Thu: Grand National (Lake or Links) Fri: GN AM, then drive to Capitol Hill, play Senator Sat: Capitol Hill – Judge Sun: Ross Bridge Mon: Oxmoor Ridge early, drive to ATL   Thinking about squeezing in Cambrian Ridge after Capitol Hill—worth it or too much? Would love any feedback or tips from those who’ve done it.

      Day 73 (13 Jul 25) (note: forgot to post the "day" for the past few days, up to day 73) - Easy day in the backyard, with time on the 50deg wedge and the mat (simulating tight lies around the green) working on low spinners.  Love using this mat as it is small and portable but also lends to being a type of alignment rod to get a proper setup.  Finished up with a few swings with the 54.

      Played several holes today with my Buddy's left haded clubs.  I was going to order just woods, but after playing again today and hitting the irons well, I will be ordering a complet set of Left handed Clubs.    They are Callaway Edge, Regular flex.  I am excited !  Will let you know after I try them and let you know how well they performed.    Retired Old Man, Terry

      Depends in part on what lie the greens crew left me. If it's first cut of rough or fairway and clear shot to cup, it's an 8i chip and run. If it's shaggy, or I have to go over ridge or bunker, it's a cut shot with a 58* LW.
