I was interested in using one of the two balls (Taylormade Burner TP or Nike One Vapor) as my primary ball for this season. I wanted to hear reviews from players on the performance of the ball. Burner TP is marginally cheaper for me but it doesn't make a huge difference. Any thoughts guys?

I gamed 4 dozen ONE Vapors last year. I found them to be great driving balls. Bite was okay on full iron shots.

I wasn't fond of them on chips, pitches, bunker play and shots where I was trying to shape.

I'd equate them to E5's with the reduced spin of the E6's.

Once I found the practice versions of the ProV1 for the same price my ball search ended. Been gaming them exclusively since with no end in sight.

Hope this helps.

Good call on the practice Pro V1s....also at every Target store in my area if you look at the recycled balls you can find dozens of Callaway ix balls and Bridgestone B 330 and 330s balls for under $10 a dozen

2 seasons ago I litterally tried every ball out there because the Maxfi Revo's that I played for years are no longer in production. I got on ebay and bought a sleeve of 20 different kinds of ball. In the end, it came down to the Bridgestone B330-S and the ProV1. Both were great balls and had a good balance of distance, spin and feel. I finally settled on the Bridgestone for 3 off the wall reasons:
1.) Everyone I play with plays ProV's, so it's easier to distinguish on the course.
2.) I got a cool polo shirt for buying 2 dozen.
3.) Couples plays Bridgestone and he's been on of my favorites since I was in middle school.

What differences, if any, are there between any given ball and the "practice" balls of the same brand/type?

No difference.

aeroburner tp 10.5 stiff
superfast tp 2.0 3 wood stiff
Halo 25 and taylormade tp 19 degree hybrids
miura cb 202 and wedge
tp 52* wedge, tp 56* taylormade spider mallet putter

I played a dozen Vapor's and really liked them. I've not used the TM Burner TP but I've used the TM TP Black's and thought they were about the same. The Vapor's probably lasted a little longer and didn't bite quite as much, but not a big difference. I think the Vapor is a really good mid-handicapper ball. Good distance, good durability, some spin but not too much to cut down on slices and hooks (reduced workability for the better player).

The burners are terrible.
Havn't played the vapours but they have to be better than the burners/

    • Would You Rather #67: Would you rather play a golf course in which every hole is a par-3. You never get to tee off with anything longer than your 6 iron? or  Would you rather play a golf course in which every hole is a long par-5 where it is outside your range to ever reach the green in two?
    • Pretty good video on how the trail elbow never really gets in front of the body until post impact.  The only nip pick is that they say the trail elbow doesn’t get in front of the trail hip. I am glad they put in their own reference for their definition, that shaded box. If you define the position of the points based on a XYZ reference. I think it was the 2nd example where the trail elbow went ahead of the trail hip when considering actual coordinates, got close to the target. It still doesn’t get in front of the body. The box they defined. Anyways, good evidence to show the hands have to get down and not out. The elbow gets more attached to the right side than trying to pull it around the body.
