Suprised no one has mentioned this yet as i thought she had a few fans on here. Congratulations to Ai on a good start to the season.

With woods out the LPGA should really try and capitalize on the form of young stars like Ai.

i've really tried to watch LPGA golf, i really have. however, when i commit myself to sit and watch a women's golf tournament, i wake up 45 min. later with drool running down my face.

When I heard she won, I thought it was a repeat of last week's news. Turns out it was and it wasn't. I'd like to see her and AK win on the same day. They're opposites, but both strong young players, and both share the same birthday.

I wanted to see Ueda take down the crown. Too bad she sealed her fate getting wet late in the round. I like her style of play and swing more than Miyazato. Good showing at least.

Always fun for me when Suzann is in contention. Losing a 5 shot lead last 2 weeks ago was a real downer.

What bothers me most on the LPGA is the players that need their caddy to check the alignment. Drives me crazy...

How is it that the girls on the LPGA tour are allowed to wear hot pants when men have to wear slacks? Who was that in the red coochie pants? On the men's tour the camera frames shots according to the shot, on the ladies tour they have to frame to keep their rear end out of the picture. I demand equality! I know those girls are wearing them so us 60 year old guys can ogle them.

i have a rules question about this. i was watching when Ueda's ball got wet and she was attempting to drop. it was near a drop off to the water banked by railroad ties, so her caddie opened up the umbrella to catch the ball if it rolled over the edge. but an official came over and seemed to tell the caddie that he couldn't do this??? i couldn't hear the tv at the time (was trying to take a nap, haha). why could the caddie not try to catch a dropped ball so that it wouldn't get lost for no reason whatsoever?

haha u know what they sell about the female sense of direction... jk... tho when my sister plays golf she consistently lines up 20 yards left or right of the target.

hey Ben i was wondering how do u think u would go against someone like lorena, michelle or Ai? Against ueda u seem like u would lose on purpose....

I used to line up 30 yards right. Instead of having someone check me all the time I changed the way I set up for a shot and got rid of the problem myself.

That Ueda comment made me chuckle! That's good stuff! Lose on purpose though...? If the stakes were right, maybe. hahaha.

Fun question too. Something I've never thought about. I'm more familiar with the games of Lorena and Michelle. I think the matches would be pretty close. Lorena is the #1 [female] golfer in the world. That's a large accomplisment. Something as of now I can only dream of. As far as Michelle, we hit the ball about the same distance. That match would come down to who is putting better.

    • You can pre-order an R50 here for pretty rapid shipping (these are back-ordered almost everywhere): https://www.playbetter.com/products/garmin-approach-r50-golf-launch-monitor-simulator?ghref=2301%3A700794. This is an affiliate purchase, and I'm willing to kick back lifetime ad-free Supporter membership here on TST or a 90-minute GEARS session for the cost of a regular member lesson (about 1/3 the cost). Also, I'll record a video myself soon when I get an R50.
    • Day 58 - 2024-11-27 Some quick 90-yard shots on a particular hole… before a lesson and testing out multiple Foresight Launch Monitors on GSPro.
    • Day 209 (27 Nov 24) - Easy session with the LW - short pitches replicating greens side up and downs. Finished up with the 7i and hard foam balls - making 1/2 to 3/4 swings with deliberately slowed tempo…from varied lies.
    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
