Ive got R9 and not the R9 460 and im finding it a little un forgiving so losing distance off tee! Had old G10 driver and regularly hit the sweet spot although accuracy was a bit off hence the change to the R9!!

V2's are have a playability rating of 914 or something like that. (Ultra game improvement)

G15's are 844. (Super Game Improvers) G15's are meant to be great if you can get over the looks. I can't

I have to agree, the R9 is very unforgiving on off centre hits. I lose around 20 yards more than I did with my previous tour burner and nike sumo. I demoed the rapture V1 and was disappointed with it, the sound and feel was very dull. I believe the V2 is quite an improvement though.

I can't speak to the difference of the V2 to the G15, but I can say the G15 is smokin'.

I picked one up last weekend, 9* Stiff Aldila Serrano. I have always been solid off the tee and long. The problem was I sacrificed "enjoyment" for forgiveness. I was playing the Sumo2 5900. No feel, unattractive.

Some may not like the appearance of the G15 but personally I think its attractive. The feel, the sound, the look at address and finally, the trajectory and length make this the most exciting addition in equipment I've had in a long time.

I didn't pick up a noticeable increase in distance but, most important to me, I didn't lose any distance. Couple that with the responsive feel, I can't recommend this enough.
What's in the bag...

Driver --- G15 9* Aldila Serrano
3 Wood - Sumo2 15* Aldila NV
5 Wood - Versus 19* Mitsubishi Bassara 83Irons ---- X-Forged 4 - PWWedges - Vokey S.M. 52.08, 56.08 & 60.08Putter --- Futura PhantomBall ------ Tour i(s)

I've hit both and the G15 is my preference. Very forgiving when you mishit it and rewarding when you catch it solid.

I love the look of it. I don't see why some would have issues with the look.

    • That answers my question.  That feels more natural to me. I'll work on that. Thanks
    • Complex question. Good players begin pushing forward around P2. Visibly around P3. They're well on their way forward at P4.
    • Still plugging away with the teacher.  I do have a question after working on some drills last night. This is something I should know already but for some reason, I have gotten myself confused. It deals with weight transfer on the downswing. At what point, should that take place?  Should it be early (prior to reaching A4) ?  I ask because in one of my drills  I get to A4, I feel the weight transfer AS my arms drop, and then go.  Now this may be totally normal, but I "feel" like this gets me in a weird timing position and causes me to try and do too much at once.
    • Tentatively in for at least one of those days. My job situation is a bit up in the air at the moment so need to get that sorted out first then I'll know more for sure or not.
