@James_Black: Why do you think the pairings will be boring? Why does it make a difference anyway? All the great players will play four rounds. It doesn't matter who's paired up together.

Seems like a goofy pairing to me. Choi is fine, but Kucher......not sure on that. AK, Camilo, Stricker, Poulter, etc would have been better.

I feel you there, I think it's fine I guess, can't pair all the "stars" together, but there are some more interesting pairings out there.

I sure hope Paddy can pull a win, but Schwartzel is on fire right now!

This guy is nuts.

Choi's caddie not impressed by Tiger

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Andy Prodger, who caddies this week for K.J. Choi, said officials of Augusta National GC probably couldn't have picked many players better than the Korean native to pair with Tiger Woods in the opening two rounds of the Masters Tournament.

Woods, of course, is making his return to golf for the first time in five months when he tees off at 1:42 p.m. EDT with Choi and Matt Kuchar.

"K.J. is the kind of player, he knows how to focus and block things out, and he'll be fine in that atmosphere. He'll be ready," Prodger said. "Obviously, we're not quite sure what's going to happen in this first round back, but we'll see. If there's a problem, if there's distractions, we'll bring somebody in so there are no distractions."

As for Prodger himself, he says he won't be fazed by the scrutiny put on him as part of the group. He isn't particularly excited about being so close to the spectacle. "Why would I be excited? I've been around too many great players in my lifetime," Prodger said. "Tiger Woods is no special man to me. He's just Tiger Woods. I've seen too many great players other than Tiger Woods. If you want a great player, Lee Trevino is a great player. Jack Nicklaus is a great player. Tom Watson is a great player. Tiger is obviously better than good. I've seen great."

This guy is nuts.

I agree. I can see the comparison with Nicklaus, but to say that Lee Trevino and Tom Watson are basically way ahead of Tiger's skill level, come on.

He doesn't say Tiger isn't great. Just that he's seen other great players.

IDK man, he kinda calls him out. I mean, without Tiger, KJ Choi wouldnt make shit for money on tour. Tiger made Golf what it is today. Period.

yes he does imply that Tiger isn't great, he says:

"Tiger is obviously better than good. I've seen great."

So he's saying Tiger is really good, but not great.

Even though he says "I've seen too many great players other than Tiger Woods."

He is saying that Tiger is great, but it's not as if he's never seen other great players. He's not fazed. All he's saying is "It's not as if I've never seen a great player before".

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Yeah I understand too, he did say that earlier in the quote, but then he said something that really sounds contradictory, and sounds more like he was saying that Tiger ISN'T great, just very good! I dunno.......

How does a Butler get to within one basket of the NCAA championship? You don't bow down to opposing teams suppossedly made up of NBA top draft picks. You gots to know you can beat them.

Same for Choi's caddy. I like that spirit. Hope his boss feels the same way.
