Hello, i'm Bob from southeastern Wisconsin. I'm a carpenter who is currently building scaffolding at a powerplant near my house. I'm relatively new to the game as my name indicates, but learning fast.

I was just right up that way. Stayed in Little Chute. Met some friends there and let the kids play at the waterpark. Was supposed to do the Easter egg hunt at the Green Bay Zoo, but it was too cold and windy. Ended up going to the Fox River mall. Never been there so that was ok too.

Nice. I'm kind of mad that I wasn't able to try out the Coldwater Canyon course when I stayed at Chula Vista last month on a deal ($118/night for 2 people, $100/night in dining vouchers, unlimited golf, and a couple other pluses), but I hadn't really gotten back into golfing... plus I would probably have embarrassed myself.

Did you use the dining vouchers at Kaminski Bros. Chop House????---Just wondering about the food there.

Nope... Checked out their menu and really didn't like the prices, as they'd force me to sacrifice a free meal or two just to use the vouchers for one dinner. Also I've seen some poor reviews of KBC, so we decided to avoid it and stick to pizza or the Market Fresh Buffet (Mmm, crab legs.. $22 per person for supper, but free with the vouchers.. hehe)

That's what I've heard. High prices. Same thing at Fields Steak House at the Wilderness. I do not mind paying for a good meal but prefer not to be gouged. Dells has many good restuarants but I'm pressed hard to recommend a steak place in town. Just out of town there is a spot south on Hwy 16 or Cimmorolis 10 miles out. Fresh Market Buffet is a thumbs up for me also. Or slum it a little bit and go downtown to the original Monk's for a Monk's burger. Much better off that well seasoned grill than the new place out on Hwy 12--Lake Delton.

Cold water is a good course---The first three holes are a bit mondane but it picks up after that.

I never even got to check out Coldwater Canyon, since I wasn't golfing at the time... even if I could've gotten a club rental free with the reservation. Imagine that embarrassment, trying to play there after not playing golf since about 2001. :P

Hey guys, Waukesha golfer here.

Wild Rock is the place to play in the Dells... unbelievably beautiful course. I've eaten at Del Bar in the Dells... steaks were dynamite! 2nd only to Mr. B's in Brookfield. Damned expensive at both places, but very, very good.

Even par through 9 is my best.  I don't even want to think about what was my worst.
