Well, right now with my current swing I am hitting a small fade. I don't usually draw the ball, but I can if I must.

Hey how did you develop the feel of getting your legs to fire first before your hand start moving down. On your iron swing you can definetly tell that your left hip bumps left than the club starts down.

Well, it all roots back to my old swing which was very flat. Therefore, I worked on getting more upright using the feeling of having the club go straight back. Using this swing thought for a extended period of time made me develop this "hip bump" which in turn developed "down-lag". The reason is because my arms and club are still going up while my hips and lower body start to unwind therefore creating lag. I have now gotten my swing into a better position for consistency, i.e. more on plane backswing which has lessened these habits. As for a feeling, its really something I've just always done, but I can describe it as if you were using a whip and were unwinding your hips while still in your backswing. I'm sorry I couldn't describe this better, it's really something I do by habit and not really by "thinking" of it.

Nice! The greens are really fast. I played Hawks for a tournament, they had the rough at 5in plus, but thats sick I wish I could be a member there.

very nice swing, at a 2 handicap you really just need practice to fine tune everything.

just a point on your transition.if you want to slow it down a but here is a little drill.

take your normal backswing and then hold it at the top and count to 2. then take your downswing. this trains you brain that there should be a pause before starting the downswing and should smooth things out and create more consistent ball striking.

Well, strangely enough, I actually went to a stack and tilt type swing. I haven't gotten to posting any videos because I am still developing it, but I will try to soon. Consequently it has also helped my short-game, being that in my old swing the worst area was the first few feet in the backswing. Thus I had less time to react and fix the poor takeaway on the short shots.

    • I generally like par-3 courses and find it a darn shame that the last of them closed in my area during the pandemic. Part of it may have to do with the fact that I never have been very good with the longer clubs, so the short holes are a bit more my speed.  Being able to get in 18 holes in two hours was pretty convenient and, ironically, the lack of crowds made them peaceful places to be. Naturally, that's the same reason they no longer exist around here.  The second option sounds like a whole lot of no fun.
