Im in the market for a new wedge. im a 15 handicap and have a terrible chipping/pitching game. i hit my 58 degree cg15 (which i love) 100yrds on the dot. i use a 60 degree vokey inside of that and i am brutal with it. it has low bounce and im so chunky with it. my r7 pw goes 150 and my sw goes 120. im looking for a wedge to fill this gap and am open to recommendations on loft, bounce, brand, everything.

my heart says at 52 degree cg15 but idk what bounce

I recently switched from Vokeys to Eidolons (52, 56 and 60). Very happy with the decision.

Great wedges with lots of spin. The V-sole design is very versatile.

You have a SW, 58, and 90...and you want to add GW? I'm strong supporter of wedges over long irons/hyrbrids/fairway woods. But 5 wedges? The 58 and 60 are too close. Pick one and get rid of the other one. Then get the 52.

m taking my 60 outta my bag cuz i hate it. i was thinking about either a 64 for around the green to help my flop it easier or a 52 to fill the 30 yard gap between my pw and sw

You say your a 15, but your stated handicap is a 20. I think there is a little difference. Either way, you shouldnt even consider a 64 if you cant hit a low bounce 60.

Don't sweat it. I've seen people with 8 point something who list most rounds in the mid-high 80s and others with a 12 listing who shoot in the 70s. I don't think tournaments check your Sand Trap handicap for verification.

I somewhat agree that you should check out different lob wedges. Based on your yardages, you might also want to work on 3/4 punch shots.

I wasnt trying to make fun or anything, just trying to point out that you need to update it since you have been playing better :)

If you can put ego to the side, I replaced my 52* wedge with the Cleveland Niblick 10. It has made great improvements in my short game. It's perfect for me from 110 and in, and I find myself using it for everything except bunker shots from under that range. I have taken around 6-8 strokes off my game just by swapping to it.

You just have to be dedicated to improving your game to carry it, because it's pretty goofy looking. A couple friends made fun of it at first, but 2 of them are now carrying one..............lol

my cg12 has one dot on it. idk what the bounce degree accounts to. and my vokey is 260.08. i think that means its 8 degree?

when i screw up inside of 100yrs its usually chunky. is the a different bounce that i could be using that will help this? and will a 52 cover the gap between my pw and sw

Bounce wise you need to ask yourself what kind of contact do you make. Do you sweep the ball and make little to no divots? This means you would need a low bounce. Do you make big divots normally? This would mean a high bounce. If you're in between choose a middle bounce. The courses you play affect this too but for the most part, I think matching the bounce to your swing type is the most important.

I see that you tend to chunk it a lot so you're probably gonna want to look into a wedge with a high bounce.

will all my irons i pick the ball very clean, hardly a divot. except for my wedges, there is some divot or im chunky. so a high bounce will help me?

Well if that's the case with all your irons, you may just want to work on your wedge swing in general before you decide which club to buy.
