Visor, Cap, or nothing?

I wear my Titleist hat with my high school's knight logo everywhere. I can't imagine playing a round without it. It's rare to see me without it on.

This is me too. I have 2 Tilley hats. The wide brim offers the best protection from the sun, and at Denver's mile high elevation, it's as important as using good sunscreen.

P.S. I didn't respond to the poll because my Tilleys aren't "caps". You didn't allow an option for a real hat.

Always a cap... maybe once in awhile, a visor... but not for the last 4 years, at least.

Problem I'm having is that I tend to find a cap I like, and wear it until... well... until my wife threatens me that if I go out in public with it on, she'll divorce me. (Think Tim Lincecum)

Right now... it's been a white cap with the New York Mets logo. Prior to that, it was a white cap with a Penn State logo. I've been seeking a NICE golf cap... I had one in my hands one day... nice Callaway... then I put it on and it just didn't fit. Haven't found a nice one since then, so... still stickin' with the Mets cap.

I typically wear some form of hat, as long as it fits comfortably and doesn't blow off in the slightest gust of wind. Not a fan of the Tilleys (or anything that looks even remotely like them) but I understand why people wear them - especially people in the Southern Hemisphere - I'm sorry us Northerners have F'd up your half of the planet!!

Southern hemisphere??? Tilley hats were developed by a Canadian. And with the strap system they won't blow off in a hurricane. They were initially invented as a nearly indestructible, windproof hat for sailing. You may not like the look, but it's better than the holes left behind when the doctor excises cancerous tissue. :dohanim: Skin cancer is currently in epidemic proportions. I know at least a dozen peole who have had or are currently being treated for it, including my mother and my wife.

I wear a cap if its sunny.
I can't wear sunglasses though when playing golf, it just doesn't work

I have tried all three and prefer a visor or cap. No head wear bothers my eyes and doesn't feel right. Plus I like to color coordinate with belt and shoes because if you can't play like the pros at least you can look like them.

UV radiation is worse in the Southern Hemisphere.

I would wear a visor, because they're cooler, but I would rather sweat in a cap since I look like a complete doofus in a visor.

Sunglasses are a must in the summer, too - I don't get the aversion to shades that some golfers have, but that's just me.

I wear my Mizzy cap and sunglasses in the summer, and go free flowing the rest of the time, all depends on the temperature and cloud cover.
