For some reason, I've been occasionally straightening my left knee (right handed) at impact and hitting lots of toe shots. Can anyone recommend any drills to keep the knee from straightening out?

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

For me, straightening the left leg too early is the result of dropping the right shoulder too much when sliding the hips forward. It's just my body's way of trying to stay in balance after the imbalance caused by dropping the right shoulder. This usually results in a topped shot (and sometimes a toed shot), especially with a fairway wood or hybrid that is more forward in my stance.

Yeah, i like having a bent knee through impact and into finish. Tiger woods blew out his knee from straightening really fast. But also having a bent knee, and having it outside your hip through impact will keep your hips from sliding out and keep you in sync.

snapped his left knee hard. Most people aren't going to do that... In reality, at impact, most people will want a fairly straight left knee - it's part of the "jumping" you do through impact. It'll still be slightly bent at impact but will straighten up shortly thereafter as you expand and lengthen.
