I decided it was Rapture day and I got left behind.

Funniest quote of the day.

Since they didn't leave their clubs behind, that is proof that there is Golf in Heaven!

I only pick a ball up that I find on the course if there isnt anyone in the immediate area. That way I can be sure that its a lost ball, not a mishit ball whose owner is looking for it.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

I don't pick up golf balls........it isn't mine, I didn't earn it, I didn't pay for it.......truth be told, I don't even like playing with folks that whip out their ball picker at every water hole......and as someone already said, I try to play the same type of balls so I get more consistency around the greens....

Little off topic here but Big Perm do you shoot pool as well? Your username and avatar are exactly like someone on azbilliards.

I once hit my drive, then saw there was a guy behind me, and I figured I'd let him play through. I drove the ball about 220, hooked into the left rough. He steps up to the tee, and proceeds to top his drive 70 yards, dead left. His ball bounds off the side of their house, and lands in the bushes. He drives on, past his ball, and right up to mine, and hits it!

I'm wondering what the hell is going on here, but I am too far away to say anything. He tops the thing about 20 yards into a fairway bunker, then proceeds to duff it and leave it in the bunker. Now, not only has this guy played my ball, but he's going to take an hour on each hole. I drive over to where his ball hit, and find a crummy Tommy Armour ball lying there, but picked it up anyway. I dropped a ball, and played on, it didn't bother me too much, it was funnier than anything.

on second thought, i'll drop the money for two reasons:

Well I'm impressed with you for two reasons, one, you can swing a club with a can of spray paint in your hand, and two, your welfare check can cover the greens fee, lol

Yep, same guy....that's me

Funny enough, people make mistakes, and I'm kewl with that.....the people that bother me are the ones that clearly know that are doing wrong, yet they simply don't care......stealing golf balls, it just baffles me......we need a golf jail....that would be sweet.....put them in a work program where they rake bunkers and clean carts for the rest of the round....

    • Day 37: did my drill swings in the garage with foam balls for about 15 minutes. Working on getting my backswing more turned and then going from there.
    • Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image): You'll notice a crease along the trail side of your hip, your pelvis will "fold" into that thigh (internal rotation of the hip joint), and your "bits" will be squished a little between your pelvis and your thigh. Ben Hogan said once: "At the top of the back swing the groin muscle on the inside of your rt [sic] leg near your right nut will tighten," Hogan wrote. "This subtle feeling of tightness there tells you that you have made the correct move back from the ball." I don't know about that, but you will probably feel something down around that area.
    • Yep. I think it will start to feel even more athletic when we start on the downswing stuff later.  I know, it's just I want to be younger so I have more time to enjoy the changes. 🙂
    • I need to drop a couple of stone. 🙂 😛    Yep. Yeah, but in the end, it feels more athletic, like you're actually using your legs, yeah? As you know… we use the best available info we have. Like others, I was fooled a little by 2D images for awhile (moving or still). Unlike others, I've learned and grown and moved on since then, while they're still looking at their images (often from lousy camera angles).
