I recently purchased a new Nike Dymo 9.5 stiff flex driver and I like it a lot. I upgrade from an old Taylormade r580 xd with a stiff grafalloy blue shaft. I hit the nike dymo straighter, but I definitely hit the old Taylormade 580 farther by a good 10-20yds on average. I was wondering if this was due to a lower quality shaft in the Nike dymo? I was also hoping I could get some shaft recommendations with the intention of gaining some additional distance.

I dropped the Adila NVS 65 x-stiff in mine. Made a big difference. Stock shaft just didn't work for me.

Thanks very much for the reply and advice! did you find you hit more/less fairways after the reshaft? I like the straightness I currently get out of it, but its def lacking in distance compared to my other quality shafted driver.

I dont know if I could handle yelling "BOOOOM" or "BAMMMMMM" after every shot though :P

To The Dude: I think for it to work properly, the correct yell is "POW!"

I doubt that it has anything to do with the quality of the shaft-new shaft is probably stiffer, so less dispersion, but with less distance. I'd take accuracy over distance, the distance with the club will always build over time.
