I used to listen to my iPod or other MP3 player when I played in HS, but you couldn't do it during matches, and the cords kept getting snagged on stuff or came out mid-swing so I just ended up not doing it anymore :P we used to bring some small speakers to the range though that just ran off the battery in the iPod/MP3 player/Discman :P

Personally, I couldn't listen to music when I'm hitting at the range. I prefer to be able to hear the sound of the ball strike.

Never have and probably never will. I'm a music enthusiast, so listening to music while playing golf would leave my head fighting over which to focus on. I listen to music all the time, but on the golf course I enjoy the silence and need it to stay focused.

I have to agree with you on that.

I think people have their music turned up way to loud. I practice with music when I'm by myself, but I can still hear the ball strike. It's just some background music for me. Drowns out some of the chatter around me. When I play by myself I will also listen to music. I usually get set up with random people so I take my headphones out when I meet them and keep my music low enough so I can hear them if they ask me something. It would be embarrasing if they asked me something and I replied very loudly because my music was turned up so loud. Again, it's just some background music for me in between shots and while walking/riding.

It is the purest sound on the course....I play golf to get away from everything...me, the course, andmy crappy swing, oh yeah and my beverage of choice.....

It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!
