I swing down on everything including a driver. If anyone has any tips for hitting the ball off the tee on the upswing let me know, but that's not why I created the thread.

I have always heard that you should tee it low to hit the ball straighter however it appears that the lower the club strikes the ball the straighter the ball will fly. For example if anyone has ever made the error of hitting the ball extremely high on the face of the club the ball goes straight up. Your wedges make contact low on the ball and seems to reduce side spin.

So from a little experimenting it appears that ideally you would want to tee the ball up higher for a straighter ball flight, not lower.

Now about this hitting the ball on the upswing thing.....

You're a lefty?
Well.
Tilt your shoulders away from the target, but don't put more weight(at least don't do it intentionally) on your back foot. That helps me a lot.

For the driver Put the ball forward in your stance (just inside your right heel if your lefty) the ball should be half above the driver head, tilt your spine angle slightly away from the ball and you should hit the ball on the way up...

I play my ball with my driver way forward, almost off my left outside toe (I'm a righty). I tee the ball about 3/4" above the club face. Then at address my driver is right now the middle of my stance. This guarantees me to hit on the upswing and pretty much straight. If I do miss it has a slight fade but nothing crazy.

Here's a video where I learned this from:
