This site is hardly a cross section of average golfers. If it is, why don't I see more guys with Mizunos and AP2s?

Titleist and Top Flite are very popular based on what I find walking through the rough, but for some reason the poll doesn't have Top Flites - should people play those cast their vote(s) for Callaway?

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

I'm not voting because I don't play a particular brand. The last five dozen balls have been 2 dozen Pinnacles, 1 dozen Titleist DT So/Lo, and 2 dozen Callaway Warbird. Of these, I think I like the Warbird the best, but I can barely tell the difference except for the feel putting. There's no way I'm at a point where I am going to buy anything expensive...

In the bag:
FT-iQ 10° driver, FT 21° neutral 3H
T-Zoid Forged 15° 3W, MX-23 4-PW
Harmonized 52° GW, Tom Watson 56° SW, X-Forged Vintage 60° LW
White Hot XG #1 Putter, 33"

Played my last 6 rounds with 3 Titleist Pro V1x balls. Love the performance and it's very durable

I still loose a fair number of balls on the course so I play what is cheap. Currently that is a mix of Callaway Warbirds (2-dz for $20 is tough to beat!), Srixon Tri-Speeds, and I just picked up a box of Gamer V2's as well. Haven't played the Gamer yet but I really like the Srixon as the feel on the greens is very nice. The Warbirds are a little hard but for the price they do their job well enough. I do have a couple sleeves of TM TP-Blacks from last year that I'm saving for days where my swing is really on :)

Wilson FG Tour and Bridgstone 330RX play well for me. TP Red, Nike TourD, and Callaway Tour-i are also good.

    • Day 549, May 4, 2024 After lessons and working with Natalie, hit some balls for awhile. Just backswing stuff. Forgot about the slightly shorter stuff, though I'm sure it was as they were only about 75% speed with brief pauses.

    • Best drive I've ever hit: I will not be answering any questions about the rest of the hole. Or the round, for that matter.
    • I tried hybrids way back when TaylorMade introduced the copper orange Firesole Rescue, the clubhead having been made of titanium which was still relatively new even in drivers back then. I couldn't hit it well at all, and while the success of hybrids suggests that the modern ones must be quite good,  I'm perfectly happy with the 5, 7, and 9-woods.  Early ones of mine were Top Flite Intimidator 400s made by Spalding... and also made of titanium, now that I think of it.  I still have them in my basement. I do bag a driving iron, but it's a one-trick-pony that never sees fairway use.
    • The last time I played Maxfli balls, Dunlop was still making them. How long ago was that? Mostly, though, I used to play Top Flites (original 336 dimple model) when Spalding was still making them. Now I play the Pro V1x. Last time that I ordered some, Titleist was still making them. Let's see how long that lasts.
