More pics, as soon as these are available you'll find a set in my bag, from what I understand these will be between i15 and s57, very easy club to use, can't wait

Not sure about them sitting between the S57 and i15 as the soles on these forged ones look quite a bit wider than the i15's, closer to the G15's (and I agree that they look just like the i15's design wise other than the sole width)

I would say they should sit between the i15's and G15's based on what that link says about "forged Anser and it is soft and easy to hit" and the sole width, or are you basing your thoughts on the fact they are forged therefore they must be harder to hit than the i15's? Also if you would play these in a heartbeat how come you play the G15's and not the i15's, specially as your a 3 handicap? Sorry for all the questions mate LOL?

They also mention the larger sole and offset in this review (cannot post the link as it seems to be another golf forum) again pointing to them sitting in between the i15 and G15, at most I would say they will sit along side the i15.

Exert from the review...

"The Ping Anser 2010 irons are made of 8620 carbon steel with a partial tungsten sole. They have a larger then average sole width and offset as well"

The top view provides sharper lines than the i15 but similar overall size. While the Anser Forged is designed to provide a mid trajectory ball flight, getting the ball in the air is very easy with the tungsten weighted sole and low center of gravity. Ping has touted the Anser Forged as fitting between the S57 and i15 in terms of its model line.

OK will be interesting to see where they sit if they become available in US/UK?

How come you play the G15's as a 3 then dude?

It's all about feel with me, I play i15s too, but you could put a stick with a rock attached to it in my hands and if it felt good and gave me the ball flight I want, I'd throw it in the bag and use it, lol

There are tour players who play the G-series irons and drivers! There are tour players who don't play blades!

It's whatever gives you the feel and flight you need. Period.

A lot of the specs on these look AP1-like to me. I'm very intrigued. I hit some I15s and wasn't that into them. I am in the market for a new iron set.

Any word on the price point for these?!?!?

$ 1,230,00 5 to PW 3 and 4 iron are an extra $ 410,00 easily worth the money IMO if they feel right

Yep I know that fella, KJ plays the G15 irons and Westwood uses the G15 driver/3wood plus many more, I was just asking why Prov1X was using the G15's, but thinking about the Answer Forged which are smilar to i15's so quite different if he like forgivness Irons.

I agree though Answer forged do have some aspect of the AP1's, namely the split material sole.

Exactly, if you do buy off ebay make sure the seller has an excellent rep, also get serial numbers and refer those to ping.com

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
