Hey all my name is Cody and im 16 living about 40 minutes north of syracuse NY. Golf used to be just a hobby for me but now i am starting to take it pretty serious. My handicap is usually about a 16 on par 72s but i am trying to improve that. I take golf lessons from Scott Russel and he is helping my game tremendously. I just payed for Taylormade Burner HTs yesterday because i hated the slingshots i was playing so i should have them by tuesday which should allow me to hit the ball and work it. Thanks,Cody

Welcome Cody, lets us know how you like your new irons? hows your short game? putting and up and downs? My 15 year old son is getting into golf also and he's out driving me and tie me for 18 holes but has not beat me yet. Are you on the golf team or just play with friends?

I am on the golf team and i play alot with friends. Unfortunatly the school is cutting the team because of budget cuts. My short game is either awesome or horrible. I also have a mental block when i play with other pple and especially in matches. Once i improve my short game the sky will be the limit for me. Thanks for inquiring on my post.

Introducing myself as well. Name is Matt, live in Dallas, TX. Just started playing again after taking a 3 year break due to a friend getting involved in the game (hoping he'll make some great strides soon so he'll feel more comfortable on nicer, busier courses).

J/w, also, how do you put a signature on your profile? Thx in advance.

Hey everyone. I live in Fairfield, Ohio (just north of Cincinnati). Started playing this game three years ago thanks to my father-in-law who wanted a playing partner for Father's Day. Shot 96, while he shot 105. He wasn't happy.

Now I am addicted, I play whenever I can with regards to time and budget, but there is rarely a day I don't swing a club - whether its hitting balls into the net or chipping in the backyard or putting in the living room with my 4 yr old daughter, I am always wanting to find ways to improve. I am relatively self-taught. I have Ben Hogans Fundamentals of Golf which helped me immensely when I first started and I still refer to it. But I have learned a great deal watching players swings on TV and tips from the golf mags, tutorials on Golf Channel onDemand and The Golf Fix.

    • Day 159: did a stack session.
    • Day 84 - 2024-12-23 I hit balls for 20 minutes after lessons and after getting down a BodiTrak for resale. Hinge. Path was weirdly consistent today at 1.6° or so ± like 0.8° only.
    • Day 13: 12/23/2024 A lot more mirror work today. Using my same swing thought. Some slow motion, some full motion, some in between. Today I made sure I took every swing all the way to the finish.
    • Day 234 (23 Dec 24) - Mystery Monday - what to do today….pretty straight up as I spent time with the 58 and a series of pitches (lower flighted all the way up to high fliers over the tulip tree).  Wrapped up the day going lower ball with the 9i and easy bump and runs.  Again as always the setup was key - case in point, got lazy and casually set up, feet straight and promptly hit a couple of nice heely shots hard right.  Knew it immediately, as next couple I went through the routine and flew the balls promptly too the target point.  Setup - setup - setup…
