I am serious about applying parts of stack and tilt in my swing and came across Troy Matteson's swing on youtube that iacas posted up. How sweet is his swing? Man it looks so simple and he flushes it too.

Just thought i'd share my discovered delight with the forum.

yah, very simple, im guessing the S&T; guys would say that he could get his hands deeper and have more of a hip push towards the target.

That is very nice....two observations...

1. With his first shot, it almost looks like he has a little forwrd body lean at address, like he is really consentrating on getting weight over his left side prior to take-away -- anyone working with the S&T; do this (or think about it)?

2. In a 100 years, you aren't going to convince me that he doesn't have more than 60% of his weight on the back foot near the top of his backswing with the driver -- for S&T; guys, is this a violation of S&T; principles, or is this something that is person to person?

He does those things pretty well.

I've said this a few times. It's worth repeating again.

S&T; calls for the "feeling" of maintaining your weight 60/40 on the FRONT side throughout the backswing, but in REALITY, your weight shifts back just like every other golf swing. It may not go back as much as someone whose head translates back during the backswing, but golfer's true CG moves back in an S&T; move just like every other good golf swing. It's been measured. That's just not the feeling, and people have been sliding back so much that S&T; asks that you "feel" as if you're staying left just so that you can actually stay more centered.

Troy looks like he has worked on a few things of late. looks to be getting his hands slightly deeper and his plane a little flatter to other videos. And perhaps his weight not preset forward as much?

(WJHL) — The East Tennessee State University (ETSU) men’s golf team has received an apology from Delta Airlines after a video that has over 5 million views showed staff haph… I feel for the team! 15 years ago I changed planes in Atlanta on my way to Las Vegas. With a window seat on the Hartsville tarmac I could see my golf bag, in a hard case, tossed onto the conveyor belt, and overhang the edge, to the cargo section. As it rose, I saw it fall off from about 20’. Couldn’t see the impact. When I landed and retrieved the case, it was destroyed but the clubs were okay!   When I filed a claim with Delta they put me through an administrative nightmare and I finally gave up. Still have that case in my attic!

This is a speed I have hit 4 other times in the past year. Hotter temperatures have been good for me and speed has improved. On my last day in my fifties, I was happy with tonight’s performance.  Looking forward to Friday’s session.
