I always worry about recycled balls having been 'water balls' at some point of their lives.

no offence but you probably won't notice much off a difference.

Probably, almost definitely, true. I have played with balls from lostgolfballs.com and not noticed a difference. Then I read a few articles/posts about water affecting performance and I have been kind of scared of them since. Lately I have been getting Srixon Trispeed for $15 per dozen anyways so I haven't really neeed to look at other golf ball options.

+1 I just bought a bucket of 100 AAA recylced balls...I'll let you know how they work out. My assumption is they will be absolutley fine.

Yup, these balls are legit. Got my bucket Of 100 Nike One Black AAA balls today and I would have to say at least 90% of the balls are practically brand new. The other 10% are definitely playable, but have slight cosmetic blems. I am beyond happy with my purchase and will be sending lostgolfballs.com a lot more business down the road!

I just got a couple dozen Z-Stars from them, AAs for short game practice and AAAAAs to try on the course. Was pretty surprised how good even the "junk" balls looked. Lot of them had maybe one wedge scuff. Nice putting feel, by the way!

For those who are afraid waterballs or whatever won't perform as well as new ones, give it a go. If you find a ball that consistently (not only for one shot) performs worse, throw it away and pick another ball. It's not like your handicap will suffer that much by hitting a bad ball a couple of times now and then. The higher your handicap is, the more likely the difference is more your ball striking than the ball.

I'd rather play cheap, recycled premium balls than 2 layer ones at the same price.

I think this is about the best response to this post. As a player with a similar cap it makes sense. I suppose if I was scratch, I might reconsider my opinion. But since I have 16 strokes to get to scratch, I don't think a scuff is going to make as much difference as my recently unpredictable swing!
