I've got a R9 460 set to Neutral (with stock shaft, Stiff) and have been using it for about 6 months. I am so INCONSISTENT with it, it's unbelievable!

I can stripe my fairway wood off the tee as well as my hybrid, but when it comes to the driver, I hit about 30% of my fairways on a good day. Does anyone have any tips to increase consistency? Or good ideas of what I can do while on the range to work with it. My misses alot of the time are almost "duck hooks." A good drive for me is 265-275yds with a slight draw. Thanks.

I've really only got 2 tips for modern drivers.

1.) choke down 2.) make a full shoulder turn

if you're hitting duck hooks, you're 1) coming too far from the inside, 2) flipping your wrists, or 3) releasing the club before you make contact with the ball i.e. not following through. your right arm should still be slightly bent at impact.

Mate, a video would help a long way for us to give some better opinion...

Maybe this is stating the obvious, but why don't you try setting the face open instead of neutral - isn't this is the whole point of adjustable drivers?

Lol, opening the clubface with an adjustment will not fix a duck hook. Adjustmentable drivers only help when you are already making good consistent contact.

Do. I've fought ducks hooks in the past. Typically when I'd made a swing change that increased my clubhead speed. I was tempted to swing harder - to really unleash the power. More like "over load the shaft". Bad things happen when your tempo and timing changes unexpectedly - a couple drives with focus on a full shoulder gets me to slow down - or feel like I'm slowing down - my tempo is rather quick.
