You might want to drop either a wood or your 4 iron, for a couple of wedges.

You don't need the 3 hybrid and the 5 wood especially if they are both 21 degrees.

And you don't need the 4 hybrid and the 4 iron.

Replace those two with a 50 degree wedge and a 56 degree wedge. Or some variation of wedges.

Yeah, I will be getting rid of both of my Woods, and probably get some wedges.

I personally would say to hang on to the 3 wood. It's a good club to have if either a) your struggling with the driver, or b) your playing a tighter, short course. You can drop the 5 wood(which is essentially the same as the 3h) and the 4 iron(which is the same as a 4h), which previous posters stated, and then go and add 2 wedges.

Wedges would probably be better, but would they be more useful that a wood or an iron?

Absolutely! Wedges will always do more for your score than any club other than, perhaps, your putter.

you probably want to split the wedges a bit more - 54+58, 56+60, 54+60

58 and 60 are too close together

I wouldn't get 58 and 60* clubs, that would be a terrible mistake!! If you take out the 5W and 4I, you have room for 3 wedges so I suggest you go for 48, 54 and 60.

There's a good thread where one guy has a PW at 43' and he is looking for a good wedge set up: http://thesandtrap.com/forum/threads...-Wedge-Choices Vokeys are a great choice, but make sure you try some out rather than picking the Vokeys (unless you already hit them with good results).

How about a SW, 54', and a 60'? I have a SW but it's on it's way.

54 and 60 sounds fine, but I would avoid having a 10* gap in my wedges and that's why I would add a 48 (bending it to 49 would be better) as well.

It's your call, but my biggest gap is between my PW and my 54 (7 degrees) and it sometimes gives me problems when I have 100 yard shots

Hmm, I know that the SW is 54º.

So I'll probably get a 48º, 58º, and a 62º. Or a 48º and a 56º. Either or I''ll probably get Vokeys.

Did you mean 54 instead of 58? I think that 6 degree gaps are good, otherwise it's your call. If you want to go for a 2 wedge set-up (excluding ur PW), 50 would give you more even distance gaps than a 48.

One of andefs suggestions was 48, 54, 60 - nice, easy for club selection 6 degree gaps. You said you have a 54 on the way. Sounds like you just need to fill the 10 degree PW-SW gap (like with a 48 or 50 degree Gap wedge) and possibly add a lob wedge some day. There's no need to go from no wedge to a full set all in one shot - get comfortable with the 54degree SW first.

Right. I probably would get the wedges when I get a little better.
