My course has temporarily turned into a muni (owners are trying to sell the club)
I've paid for 3 green fees so far this year so thats 30 euro.

I went out golfing for free the rest of the time.
My friend works in the driving range, he gives me free balls and I give him a hand counting up the money at the end of the day.

I got a new vokey for 40 euro in February.

70 euro so far this year.

£1050 Membership
£459 Irons (end last year)
£279 Driver (end last year)
£100 shoes (2 pairs)
£89 3 wood
£80 Polo tops
£80 Balls
£60 Trousers
£20 Putter cover (Ping WRX)
£12 Ping Cap
£8 Putter grip

Total £2237

The biggest bit of that is membership but I don't have any playing fees now for 12 months.

That's it for the last 12 months I gotta say that the only spend from now on will be balls and membership (maybe some grips) as my club set up will do for at least 2 years if not for ever.

I've only kept track of 2010, but so far I've spent $7525 on tournament entry fees. The good news is, I don't pay for clubs, nor balls. I work at a course and get to play there for free.

One year ago this week I got back to playing this game after a 10 year layoff. In that 12 month period I have purchased 1 full set of new clubs w/bag, then upgraded my driver - twice, upgraded my 3 wood - twice, upgraded my irons over the winter, upgraded my golf bag, purchased a wedge set, purchased 2 putters (1 new, 1 used), a 3-wheeled push cart, dozens of golf balls, golf gloves, golf shirts, 2 pairs of golf shoes, tees, practice aids (practice balls, net, small putting green), 1 lesson and a membership at one of my local courses.

My marriage!!!

Lol just kidding...bu tthe wife would throw me out of the house if I spent 2K!!!! this year I have spent about $250 on equipment, another $60 on balls....and about $200 or so on rounds...but the year in not over yet!!!
It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!

Way too much. The good news is that from here on out it's just travel and greens fees. I'm set for equipment and balls for a while (based on 1 ball per round - I'm good until about 2014).

This past year: $0 (didn't golf :P)
This year: $7 for 18 holes at a par 3, $20 for a chipping mat, $12.50 for Floppys (both I spent less than that on since I had a bit on Amazon gift cards)... and ASAP $10-15 on a new glove as I played without one my first time back to golf. Yeah, pretty minor... but I don't have a lot of money either.

What's in my Tartan Precise TS-869 Bag:
Woods: Northwestern 1W, 3W, stock grip
Hybrids: 855 Graphite shaft 3H, 4H, Golf Pride Tour Wrap midsize grips
Irons: 855 R flex steel shaft 5-PW, Golf Pride Tour Wrap midsize grips
Wedges: PureSpin Tour Series Diamond Face 52* AW, 56* SW, 60* LW, Golf Pride...
