some good golf shorts?

I need shorts to play golf in.. I am 26 and just under 6'3" and have a problem finding a long enough short to wear on the golf course. I have some tournaments coming up over summer and need to refresh my golf short wardrobe. I would like to find golf shorts that are long enough(to the knee at least) and that are also ok to wear in tournaments where "golf attire is required" any suggestions? I threw in my age because styles and ways of dressing change with age and hopefully I can get some feedback from my cohorts. thanks!

Adidas Climacool work for me and I'm 6'7". The Under Armour Bent Grass shorts are also great for hot weather. Very light and stretchy while keeping the "traditional" look.

I picked up a pair of Nike shorts from Golf Galaxy for about $29. Im also 6'3 with a 40 waist. The shorts are black, but by the end of the summer they will probably be faded with how much I wear them. They are awesome, extremely lightweight and breathable.. I also picked up a pair of white and khaki Slazenger golf shorts for about $25 each....I purposefully bought them in a 38 waist so I have to lose weight to wear them.

I picked up a couple of pairs of Dockers golf shorts last season and they get the job done. They breath well and come in just above the knee plus it is Dockers so they definitely cover you for the "golf attire rquired" outings.

Not the cheapest out there but I second this. I usually just wear nice flat front shorts from Gap or JCrew but recently bought a pair of the Adidas Climacool shorts and the NIke drifit shorts at the outlet mall for a great price.

Breezy around my man package and just great for hot weather in general.

I picked up some Izod golf shorts and wore them on the hottest day out 2wks ago and played 18. It was the most comfortable I've felt in a long time.

thanks guys for replying so quickly. Might check out the drifit and the climacools. also, some of the shorts that companies such as billabong, quiksilver, and rip curl make have some cool styles that I have seen. Anybody ever worn those? I know they arent golf companies but i see a bunch of them on the course.

and only about $45CDN or so for a pair
they are flat front and i buy them in "suit like" colors and patterns, like all black, black w small white pinstripe or khaki

Another real nice pair of shorts are sold at Kohl's they are the Grand Slam shorts. Very light , breath nice, and don't cost to much. I bought mine on sale for 21.95 on sale, one pair off ebay for 12.95 and will be getting more in the future. The coolest ones are dark navy with light blue pin stripes

I'm 6'5'' 38 inch waist. Picked up some XL plaid shorts from Wmart $9 each. They fit great, go to 2 inches above knee caps. Don't know if they are fancy enough for country club tournaments, but should be fine on muni competitions.

I just bought a couple of cheap pairs made by Champion at Target. If I remember right they were $24.99 or so. They only had Black and Khaki, but the fabric is super light breathable fabric and they look professional. I actually went back and bought the pants version to wear to work because they were so comfortable and look like regular dress pants. The pants cost $29.99 and are worth every penny. Probably the most comfortable shorts/pants I've ever bought.

I am also 6 3 and have a similar problem... However I wear golf shorts right down to the top of my knees...

I currently have 4 pairs of golf shorts that fit well

1) Adidas 3 stripe climacool
2) Champion Golf Short (Target has them for around 15 bucks)
3) Dockers golf short (X2)
