USC on probation and banned from bowl play

Looks like the forever long investigation by the NCAA is coming to a head. Banned from bowl play for 2 years, loosing 10 scholarships and on probation for 4 years. WOW! No wonder Pete Carroll left for the NFL!

Unfortunately they can't punish the actual two people involved- Reggie Bush and Pete Carrol.

Being a Texas and college football fan, this is rather bitter sweet. Pete knew this was coming and executed a fabulous exit plan. He will be back in the college scene in no time. His speeches and antics won't work on grown men.

Another thing I heard: Vince Young says if the NCAA calls to offer him Bush's Heisman (because Young came in 2nd in the voting), he won't even pick up the phone. Good for him, I guess?

Fortunately, it's not really up to the NCAA. The Heisman Trust commitee is not governed by the NCAA and can make up their own minds. Im sure the NCAA would have already stripped it, but the Heisman folks may take a few days to decide.

So if they (USC) have to give up the 2005 title....the crown rolls over to Auburn, which in turn gives the SEC 6 of the last 7 "BCS" titles (Elwagonne is not in favor of BCS). And they say the Big 10 + whatever is the most powerful conference.....

Couldn't agree with you more. I don't really dislike USC that much but if this sort of misfortune had to fall on them I'm glad it happened with Lane Kiffin at the wheel. He deserves a smackdown.

      Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.

      Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.

      Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
