damn just wanna say that camera-man is brilliant!!

Considering it's sideways, we thought he just placed the camera into a frozen hobo's hands - just before the rigor mortis set in.

Slightly better quality that my other swing videos

http://www.swingacademy.com/videoPlayer.aspx?id=7048

I've tried to set my weight more forward.
This wasn't a great swing, I got a fade instead of a draw, but I still struck it well.

I'm no expert, but if you slow the swing down you can tell you are still coming off the ball on the back swing.

You're doing a real good job with the right knee but it looks to me like your left knee is over flexing which is something I do worse than you.

If you're trying to S&t;, the book says to tilt more to the left with your back on the backswing, so that your left knee doesn;t over flex. You're left knee is flexing so much it's causing your head to drop, which I think is making you flip and open your elbows so that your club doesn't crash into the ground behind the ball. That's why you kind of have a scoop look at impact....

I have all the same problems and I see them hours on end with my own swing, but mine are much more severe than yours, so take it for what it's worth....

I think I'll give stack & tilt a go, I mightn't choose all the pieces but keeping the weight centered and then driving left at impact is something that's helping consistency for me.

I'll try tilting to the left and see how it works out. thanks for replying.

you should see my other swing video's lol.

Use swingacademy for the angle, can't help with the quality. I might get a camera in a few months.

Nice swing.

Do you hit consistently? If not, I may have a solution for you.

I'm no expert but your shoulder finished turning at frame 63. Then your arms move for 2 more frames to top of swing. In frame 64 and 65, your torso moves towards the target. In addition, it's hard to tell but your arms don't seem to in front of you throughout the swing. One more thing. Due to swaying toward the target before downswing, your head moves to the target instead of staying behind. You should move the weight forward but the head should stay behind.

If I were you, I would shorten the backswing. Then you should be able to pivot better instead of swaying to the target. Your head will stay behind but your weight will move forward.

I had exactly the same fault as yours. It took 1 month to fix it. But occasionally, if I don't tell myself to "shorten backswing", then this fault creeps back in.

    • He’s got to be the best player that’s never won a PGA-tournament these days.
    • Day 3 (August 13).  4' putting drill;  this is a modified version of the drill from LSW for short putting.   For context, in 2025, my strokes lost putting is more than 2 per round compared to the 15 handicap baseline, just on putts under 10'.  So that's a glaring weakness I think.  Anyway, so I set up 12 markers around a hole like a clockface, all coins, all face up.  I putt from each in turn, if I make it, I flip a heads over (or pick up if it's tails).  This means I have to make 24 putts eventually, ideally quickly.  It took me 38 attempts to do this, although 9 of the 12 coins were picked up either in the first or second go around.   Anyway, the baseline for a "90-golfer" (per Broadie description) is 37 attempts, so that's pretty good, but I'll keep trying to improve.  For anyone thinking about this, the number would be 30 for an average scratch player.   This was done on a real green at a nearby course's practice area.
    • Day 18: a little under the weather, so just some mirror work while watching TV.
    • That's not the right way to look at it, because you're not going to have a rating of 55 or something for even a 6500-yard par 72. There's a minimum rating (depending on the length), and then +s and -s to that. If a course has a bunch of +s and -s that even out, that doesn't mean the course rating is 100% the length. And what kind of math would it be if the course rating was lower than the formula: 103% length? 🙂
    • Day 316 - 2025-08-13 Mental rehearsals today for about 15 minutes as I'm kinda screwed up in some way. 😞
