I have seen several threads of tricked out putters here, and i would like to get the treatment to mine, being that i dont have another tournament till my club championship in late august.

My favorite color is orange, and i would like the putter to have kind of orange (or sunshine) motif. I think the custom shop at SC is kinda of a rip-off, so i dont want to send it there. Anyone have any good aftermarket shops that do good work?

Send it to Tom Slighter . He does some great work.

If you're just looking for a different look via paintfill however, just do it yourself. It's pretty easy.

Why not do it yourself? You can strip the finish down to bare metal, then you can use gun blue to get the black/blue finish, or a torch to give it several different looks depending on the heat and duration. Then paint fill with what ever color you want.
Would be much cheaper than sending it somewhere plus the satisfaction of knowing you are using a putter that you customized yourself.
There are several videos on youtube for doing either method.

I've seen some threads on another site in which people are pretty happy with their results from Putter Plating - http://putterplating.com/

I dont know why they are a rip off compared to others. THey give you a new shaft, grip, headcover, diviot tool, and they do the best work.

I am using this place right now for my putter:

http://restorationgolf.com/

I am getting this old putter with a new shaft, new grip, the scotty face milled, completely restored, and then black chrome on it. Cant wait to get it.
