So I pulled the trigger on a Nike SQ DYMO STR8-FIT driver, I was looking for a new driver and I was very interested in trying out a "customizable" driver, and the price was right compared to the TM R9... I have never hit one, have not really had the opportunity, but I have played with a few guys that hit it very well, and I did as much research as possible to try and decide if this club was right for me. Probably what clinched the deal was the UST Proforce AXIV shaft. I have a Wilson Staff fybrid which has a UST Proforce v2 shaft and I really like it.

Just looking for some comments on anyone who has this club, what can I expect in terms of ball flight, I went with the 9.5* to try and get a more medium, boring trajectory... Hopefully it gets here before Friday so I can spend some quality time with it on the range prior to my weekend round...

It's very nice.. I love it a lot more than the Burner 09 driver. I had that previously and the shaft wasn't working out for me and I tried out the STR8 fit and loved it. Yesterday on the course I drove it 292 yards over water, right dogleg on a par 4 and birdied the hole.

From what I have seen and heard it is a long driver, I am excited to try it out. Did you play with the settings much when you first got it? Just wondering how noticable the different alignements are...

Mine is the square version and I do like it. Just remember, when you open it up the loft goes down and when you close it up the loft goes up. I have my at 2* open.

Not sure if the regular is like the square, but the square is a high launching head. The shaft is also a high launching shaft.

Cool, thanks for the info on the loft. What I have read is the the 9.5* and lower are more of a medium launch angle... are you hitting the 10.5*? I am pretty sure I saw this in a video review of the club...

I do have the 10.5*. With it open the effective loft has been decreased.

Another question, I am assuming this comes put together, but how is it setup, neutral?

Mine came neutral. There should be a nice instruction booklet with it as well.

I just picked one up last night. There is a yellow line on the bottom of shaft. Line that up with the grey line on hosel of the head. And you have neutral. Cool part is you can look at the butt of the club on the grip and it has a nice lil diagram to let you know what setting your on.

Now if i can just figure out what that lil velcro part that comes off inside the pocket for the tool thats on the clubhead is for

The velcro inside the headcover is just another visual reference for the last position of the the club after adjustments. Just another way to remind yourself of your settings. Just picked up mine the other day and I love it thus far.

Sounds complicated.

It's actually very easy...I was concerned when I got mine to find it came with and instruction manual. But all in all its very simple to use.

Great club, and very simple to use. I usually have mine set at 1* or 2* open, which lowers the effective loft to around 8.5* or 7.5*. I have the Black 79 gram Xstiff shaft, which launches low/mid.

I really love mine, hands down. I can't find anything bad with it. You can change the loft, lie angles, its great.

Got a chance to hit mine for the first time today. Wow. Im going to hit it all week to make sure it wasn't a fluke. And dial in the best setting. But wow this was a great improvement over my Dymo2. And also WAY LOUDER!! I don't care, but i was shocked.

So I got out to the range with this driver last night and I have to say I have never had that much fun hitting balls on the range. I have been working on my swing a lot and my consistency is getting better, so it was really cool to see the ball fly the way it says it will with the different settings. I was very impressed. What has me the most excited was that I hit the ball on target way more often than usual, with the exception of some nasty hooks when it was set to 2* closed... Right now I have it set to 1* open and 1* upright and it feels great... I plan to hit the range again today and the big test comes tomorrow morning when I head out for 18... Can't wait...

I bought the Dymo2 Str8 fit earlier this year in 9.5 with a Reg shaft and the shaft broke at the hosel the first time at the range. Nike has good customer service and repaired mine and had it back to me within ten days. It broke again after playing two rounds so i have opted to get the Prolaunch V2 65 Shaft. It played well before breaking. Very forgiving and very long. I'll let you know how it goes with the new shaft.
