I need that inbetween club for 3w-3i

Which would be the most accurate as my home course is very narrow and requires you to be very accurate and maybe give your opinion on why a certain club you really like, cheers

What would Padraig do? Your dilemma sounds like an ad for the Wilson Staff Fybrid.

You might consider a 5W or a hybrid (or, do like Sean and carry a 19.5* Fybrid).

5W would have more carry. Old rule for rough planning was that a 2i and a 5W go approximately the same distance. But, you have to test them out. Also, if you hit the 3i well, would you gain much by adding a 2i? One consideration: Pick a club that splits the distance gap between the 3W and 3i.

I'd go with the 5 wood here. Much easier to hit than the 2 iron for most people and as one previous commenter noted it would have more carry.

Another vote for the FYbrid. Controllable like a 2 iron, neutral face, carries as far as a 5 wood. On the one hand, the face seems unbelievably hot-I hit a GPS measured tee shot 253 yds with the FYbrid a couple months ago. But I've also choked down and taken a 2/3 swing to get the ball to land softly on a green 175 yds away. Can be found online for about $50.

Use the 2-iron - you have a lower launch angle with it than you do with a 5-wood or hybrid. The less time the ball spends in the air, the less trouble it can get into (assuming you hit the ball well to begin with).

a 19 degree hybrid should fit in that gap pretty nicely. If you can swing your irons accurately, a hybrid would suit you just fine. If you are more accurate with a wood than an iron, then go with a 5wood

I had a similar dilemma with my 2 hyrbid or an extra wedge! Well the extra wedge is used a lot more with my game so the 2 hybrid is an alternate club I use dependant on the par 3's at the course. Never fails though when you leave it out you will always need it and vice versa. Murphy's Law....

Hit different versions of all three. See what feels most comfortable. I've had a hybrid in my closet for two years. Can't hit the thing to save my life. For me the answer would be 5W all the way. I've never hit a 2i but I am very confident with my FWs.

i don't carry a club between 3W and 3i but if i did it would be a 5 wood. much easier for me to hit from fairway or sitting up in the rough.

If you can consistently hit a 2i well, you will hit a 5W even better.

Not every 5-wood, but yeah, basically. It can be easier to work a 2-iron and control the trajectory. When I was starting out I loved my little 5-wood, but would have struggled with a 2-iroin.

I personally use a 2 iron. But im generally more accurate with my irons than I am with my woods. The best way would be to hit all 3 and see which one you feel most confident with.
