I think it is time to shake up the Ryder Cup. Have separate teams now, Asian, European, Australian and South African. I dunno, the way the talent is stacking up I think this is the way to go.

There's already the Presidents Cup and the International team have only ever won that once. Asia, Australia and South Africa don't have the talent yet to compete against U.S. or European teams in their own right. Maybe Asia will get there one day but I doubt the other two ever will - there have been good Aussie and South African golfers for a while now but they just don't have the golfing population to be able to stand on their own.

I would like to see a Europe vs Rest of the World event but it'd be a matter of fitting it in somewhere because I doubt American audiences would agree to a 3 yearly cycle for the Ryder Cup.

Only workable change I could see at this point would would be for the U.S. to add Canada, Mexico, and South America-and add everyone else to Europe. The Americas vs. Everyone Else.

Of course you do.

5 Euros in the top 10

4 Americans in the top 10 1 other in the top 10 I think it is good.

There are other opportunities for international players to compete. The majors for example - they could do something like the Fed-Ex and give points to each nation's top players in each event.

I posted it, but you didn't read my post either. I said the "America

s" , North and South America combined vs. the rest of the world. Only change I think would be workable and competitive. That being said, I like the Ryder cup a lot the way it is.

Somebody said the US + Mexico + Canada vs the world. How would that not be essentially the same as the USA v. everyone?

    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
