For pacing off yardages, is there a specific length of pace i should have or should i just walk normally for each 1 yard?

Videos would be nice ... I've been kind of confused about this for awhile.

Ideally just take a yardstick and put it on the ground and know what that feels like to step from one side to the other if you really want to know the feeling of a one yard step

I just think back to summer marching band and after that the Air Force. Put my legs in marching mode and I'm gtg.

Game has it right. You could also get a piece of string while you got 3 feet measured out. Put a heel at 0, toe of other foot at a yard and then tie a length of string between your ankles so you can't make your stride too far, then walk around for a bit to get the feel.

Playing football and spending 11 years in the military.... I can pace off any yardage and be dead accurate. Advice above is correct, but I would measure out a longer yardage using a tape measure. Measure off 5, 10 and 15 yards on a level area. Spend some time pacing each distance and you'll figure it out soon enough.

Measure out 75 feet with a tape measure on the sidewalk, mark with chalk. Then start at one end, and take even paced steps, and count the number of steps you take. Do this a few times to get in a groove, take the average and divide 25 by that number, (25 yards), that will give you the number of yards per step.

this is the basic technique to get your pace.

The way I got good at pacing off yardages is because at school I parked my car across a football field, so I just started counting 10 steps between each line while I walked. Luckily for me it's pretty much a normal walk.

Pacing yards for football was possibly first, but I paced all my yardage on the course when I started. 200 to 150. 150 to 100. Just keep in mind the most accurate 150 marker is in the middle of the fairway. If the markers on the sides of the fairway are in a straight line with the marker in the centre of the fairway, they're wrong.

I just bought a rangefinder.

But when I did pace off the yardage, I did what others mentioned. Walked a measured distance in meters, found the average and used it. I even did this on a course with the bag on my back, in case I took longer or shorter strides when playing golf.
