So I am sure that you all heard that Brett retired again yesterday. Does anyone here believe this? I personally think he will be back after his ankle is better but who knows. He sent text messages and didn't even call the coach. Come on man....really?

What I think is funny is that Lebron caught all this crap for the way he decided to go to Miami but what he has done is nothing compared to the way that Favre goes about it. He is really an attention junkie.

Yeah, he has been offer a new rich contract, so I bet he comes back.

I'll say that with Favre, you certainly never know BUT in this specific instance, it doesn't appear to be about money! He just seems uncertain whether the ankle will hold up!!!

His name is like fingernails on a chalkboard. His 2010/2011 season will be that way too. Short, painful, cringeworthy, just make it be over.

I hate Brett Favre. Just retire already. Or just play. Make up your mind.

But ESPN is equal to blame. They literally spent all day yesterday talking about him. From 9:00 am when it was reported until 11:00 SportsCenter, that was their only topic.

Brett Favre is a manipulator of almost every decision off the field to try to get his way. He doesnt want to go to camp. It's that simple. He is not a very decent honest person. Rather deceitful . But on the field he is the toughest sob i have ever seen play. And he more than any other player EVER can take the mundane and turn it into the magnificent.
Any football fan knows this is true, and will be tuning in to see him against the Saints opening thursday night. He plays football the same way Mickelson plays golf. You have to love it. Just my two cents. lol

If he wasn't a Viking, I would really, really loathe the guy and just despise him.

But, since the success of the Vikings is pretty dependent on a healthy Favre, I can't hold TOO BAD of feelings about the guy.

Even if I think he's an attention •••••, and yes, even comparable to LeBron.........

W/ all that said, I honestly am not that worried about him coming back or not. I think this latest "episode" is nothing and means nothing.

He will be back in purple to win another Super Bowl, and Minnesota's first!

Please correct the post....Favre has NEVER retired! Him flip-flopping like a dead fish only adds to his diva-like persona. If he's not suited up at the Dome on Sept. 9, then and only then, I'll think about considering him retired, however, knowing him, he may show up in October to play.

Just let it be over! Pleeeeeeeease! I want him gone for good, so the Packers can take over as NFC champs again.

Yesterday they said he announced his retirement, now today he is saying that he hasnt made a decision and will play if he's healthy. Enough already, if you want to play, play; if not, dont play.
He doesnt play for the Packers anymore, so I couldnt care less either way.
Honestly though, Id like to see him come back. I love what it has done for the Packers/Vikings rivalry and Id like to see the Packers get 2 more shots at beating him. The Packers should be a much better team than last year, so hopefully this year it will be the Packers' turn to get their, "revenge".

Sorry Cheesehead. You've got at least another year to wait................

Dont be sure about that. Favre is another year older and the Packers will be a much better team than they were last year. The Vikes and Bears had their turns, but now its time for the Packers to take their rightful place as dominators of the NFC North.

Even if Favre returns the Packers will have a better QB, a better defense, and a comparable offensive line. It will surprise me if they don't win the North.

    • No rain while I was out (9am to 11:30am). Fairly pleasant for a late November day in the Mitten.
    • Day 56 - 2024-11-25 Did the BAD Challenge and hit a bunch more other little shots. This was one of the closer shots.
    • 70 today. The number looks good but, the course is a par 67 (5,110 yards, 64.3/115.). While the 70 took quite a few good shots to achieve, I am not counting that as shooting my age.
    • Played our town’s executive course this morning. Everything is closing but for now Huron Hills remains open. #13 is shaped like an upside down backwards L (dogleg left). Only 231 yard par 4. Dogleg has a tree guarding the corner and a sand bunker guards the green for those cutting the dogleg. Tiny green. About 10 years ago or more I would try to cut the dogleg. The hole is so short that even if one tangled with the tree or was bunkered, par was likely and birdie was still on the table. Now in my 70’s, I just hit it straight and try to wedge it close for birdie. Today I screwed up and pulled my drive. I wandered around a bit when my ball was not in the bunker. Finally located it on the approach to the green. Almost chipped in and tapped in the 2 inches for birdie. Best unintentional shot of the week. 😲
