He is very good, I think Kaymer, McIlroy, Dustin Johnstone and Anthony Kim will be the dominant forces over the next 10 years, Tiger, Phil et all will win tournaments but those 4 will take over.

Don't forget Ryo Ishikawa - he's only 18...

(A word in for Ricky Fowler. No-one's said much about him lately. He may pick up a few, you never know)

Ryo would have to proove he could win on other tours but boy has he got talent. Fowler for sure also, he just needs to get over the winner post a few times.

Without Kaymer's PGA victory I would pick McIlroy without a doubt..

I struggle with this...even without the US PGA Kaymer has won many moore times than Rory.

Rory has won TWICE, guys please remember this he has won TWICE...

I do like Rory but Kaymer is better at this moment in time, and I am starting to think Rory must be getting hyped beyond belief, also whoever says McIlroy is tougher is nonsense I think Kaymer is probably only second to Woods in the mental strength aspect of his game, which is startling when you consider he is 25.

Do you remember the 2008 Dubai Desert Classic, where Kaymer finished Birdie Birdie Eagle for second place - 1 shot behind Tiger. I guess that shows some mental strength, considering back then Tiger still had it all together.

Because he is hyped and marketed by the PGA Tour?

no. because mcilroy has a great swing and has performed brilliantly in majors this year and is only going to get better and better. i had never even heard of kaymer before the PGA. he no doubt has talent but if i had to pick between the 2 i would go with mcilroy every time.

Yeah, Bubba won. Literally the worst shot I have seen while trying to close out a tournament in at least a decade, let alone in a playoff in a major. Like he was aiming for the water. Were it a "Jean Van de Velde major playoff tribute" he might be considered the winner.

hes 21 for crying out loud! he has won twice but i mean why does that even matter? that speaks nothing to what he WILL do in the future. fast forward 10 years and he will be on top of kaymer for sure. at least thats what i think.

That was incredible, Kaymer loves the Desert Swing like no other.

that is opinion IMO. i see no way how you can call that a fact in terms of the LONG RUN. There is no way of knowing who will be better in 10 years. maybe kaymer is better on paper AT THIS MOMENT. But to just simply say kaymer is better and thats it is neglectful. consider the long run.

I honestly think McIlroy could be the new Garcia.  Struggles with putting, under achieves.

Kaymer is the best in the world just now, last 6 months he is on a run no-one apart from Tiger could do.

    • Could course committee have an MLR option to declare this bunker GUR?
    • Sorry, I will disagree. You got a penalty because you hit it somewhere and didn't want to play it from there. Bunkers are not the general area. If you had hit it into temporary water in the general area, you'd be entitled to relief. You hit it into a hazard, a bunker. Why should you get free relief when you hit it into a bunker? If someone else hit it into a different part of the bunker, without water, they'd not get a drop for free out of the bunker. Heck, it'd cost them two strokes if they didn't have an ACC and wanted to drop it out of the bunker.
    • I love golf, but we have some really dumb rules. Like this one, you get a penalty stroke because it rained.
    • No. If there was a place no closer to the hole that afforded some relief, you could have dropped there. If you were truly as far away from the hole as you could, in the "back" of the bunker, then… your options were basically to play it as it lies (lied? lay?) or take the penalty stroke and drop behind the bunker (keeping the point where the ball was between your drop and the hole).
    • Day 121 - Had a tournament today, not my best. I was hitting everything off the heel.
