looks pretty good... I wish I had swing like that when I was your age
actually - I wish I was playing golf when I was your age. Keep it up

so you dont think anythings really wrong with it ?

on the second swing, it appeared as if you had a little bit of a reverse pivot, finishing with your weight on your back foot...

Nice tempo though

nothing is really

WRONG with it, you have room for improvement though - I'd not force anything and try to do it under supervision of a teaching professional... a bit of reverse pivot (as already pointed out), more shoulder turn, improve on weight transfer, more upright swing plane - these are things that come to mind right away - but again - don't jump to conclusions just after reading these. If you're serious about the game find a good teacher and build up on the solid base you already have. You don't have to have beautiful swing to win money playing golf (see my avatar ) P.S.: ask your parents to buy you couple pair of slacks. Jeans on the golf course just don't look good, even in your age

Thanks for sharing. Your tempo is pretty good. I'd work on keeping your left arm straight and swinging more with your shoulders. This will help you get more of a full turn and a more complete golf swing.

I think an area you might look at is your foot and leg action. Watch the pros, even women pros, how their lower body loads and then unloads, triggering the downswing. I wouldn't call this a fault, just an area you could enhance, and make sure any change is in small increments, so balance and consistency isn't mucked up.

I like the arm moves, I just do not see much lower weight shift back or forward. Looks like its all swing is with the upper body. The last swing has your back foot still fully on the ground at the finish. Get that belt bucket facing the target at the finish and your have a great move.

Your video looked like the intro to The Wonder Years, hehe

Swing looks good though, these guys have given some good advice, but as the saying goes " If it aint broke............"

Adding the leg action/weight shift will make a huge difference. You need to finish with 90+% of your weight on your left foot in your follow thru.

ye well i know mate..but im going to the driving range tomoorow ok. and ive been practising weight shifting alot this week, and for my iron the ball then the grass drill thing. so tomoorow ill tell ya guys how it turns out :D

You need to end with all your weight on your left foot, so this will make your right foot go onto its tip-toes with the sole of your feet facing behind you (no longer stuck to the ground).

I tried that Prasant, BUT it went like 30-40 feet high and only went like 4 yards, but i think i done it wrong, if not ill use a lower tee, i think i may have been swaying too much.

YO STEVE, thats a pretty solid swing but not be offensive, go get a golf coach because you don't want to develop bad habits and right now, your using no lower body so don't improve on in what you have because unless you become really buff it will be difficult to compete with your peers in the future but good swing none the less, moral of the story: All because it works doesn't mean there's nothing better.

Ive been working on my swing and its cool sungho im getting tips.

But now ive been working on my swing the more natural it feels..and i noticed the swaying too much of my lower body and ive fixed that..also the weight shifting. and so far its going pretty well..hitting then slightly straight or straight all the time..im just not getting enough height..but if it was sunny in scotland it would go pretty far i quess :D

    • Day 133: did a stack session.
    • You can pre-order an R50 here for pretty rapid shipping (these are back-ordered almost everywhere): https://www.playbetter.com/products/garmin-approach-r50-golf-launch-monitor-simulator?ghref=2301%3A700794. This is an affiliate purchase, and I'm willing to kick back lifetime ad-free Supporter membership here on TST or a 90-minute GEARS session for the cost of a regular member lesson (about 1/3 the cost). Also, I'll record a video myself soon when I get an R50.

    • Day 209 (27 Nov 24) - Easy session with the LW - short pitches replicating greens side up and downs. Finished up with the 7i and hard foam balls - making 1/2 to 3/4 swings with deliberately slowed tempo…from varied lies.
    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
