Haven't done it yet this year, but I finally banged out a bogey free round today. Finished 4under with 26 putts. Had a really nice stretch of holes in the middle of the round. Birdie, eagle, birdie on holes 10,11,13. 10 and 13 are the par 5s, and 11 is a 277y par 4. Knocked it on to about 10' and made the putt. Then I started missing greens or just not getting the ball close enough to the hole to get it deeper. The good news in missing the greens was that I only had one tester putt, but not really, of about 4'. The other holes I chipped to tap-in range.

This is all very exciting as I really haven't been putting too much effort into my game lately. This was the first day I've dedicated my entire day to golf in, I can't even remember how long. I've got a big tournament coming up tomorrow, and Korean Tour QSchool in November, and my play prior to today really had me questioning myself. Its great how much a day like today put things back into perspective. Along with what it did for my belief system. Back on track! I can play this game, and I can play it really good!

Extremely impressive short game. All it takes is that one misshit chip/pitch that leaves you 10 feet for par. Bogey.

What were your FIR, GIR and putts?

Also, the difference between those who are successful and those who are not is the ability to handle adversity. If you are feeling down about your game you gotta stick with it!

It's funny how quick we are to say we suck at golf when things go bad yet we never seem to look to our successes for encouragement. We act like that last golf shot was the first and last one we will ever hit. Then we might dwell on what could have been (even while still playing the round!!) than what is and what will be.

Good post, you deserve to share your excitement with everyone. Try to dwell on this memory WHEN things go bad on the course. Because it will happen again...many, many times. Just gotta fight through and remember you are better than how you are playing that particular day.

Yeah, I've always been a big fan of my short game. hahahaaa. I used to practice all the time when I was a kid, actually, I still enjoy practicing it the most. Other than the up and downs from around the green, I had two really nice up and downs from the bunkers. One was super awesome actually. Fried egg, feet outside of the bunker and short-sided, to two-feet, super par.

Fairways: 8 (but we have five par-3s and that one driveable par-4) Greens: 12

Like you say, I try not to dwell on the bad, at least not for too long. I've read Rotella's stuff and he's big on totally eliminating/erasing bad thoughts from the memory bank. And my best friend Ray always says, "don't let the highs get too high, or the lows get too low."
