With mats, you can use alot of different aids to find the point of clubface contact. On grass, the dirt and grass makes it harder to see the ball mark. Other than impact tape, anyone know of any other way to easily mark the point of contact?

If you don't like impact tape or find it too expensive to use regularly, I've found that sharpie marker ink will transfer to your clubface from a well hit ball. I imagine it would not be too hard to make a sizeable dot on the ball and position it where the club will hit it. Then you should have your image. If grass gets in the way you'll have grass instead. Either way if you look immediately after impact you will know where the ball impacted the face.

It ain't bragging if you can do it.

I don't know what impact tape is, but I've always just used plain masking tape.

I've always found grass to be just fine in tellin you were the impact point is.

This is my clubface after two or three shots at the range.

Try a cheap and chalky deodorant – smear it on the clubface and swing away.

Your clubs will also smell fantastic.

Cast the club much, seems like quite a bit of heel contact.

That was taken a few months ago, so yes, and I don't even use those clubs anymore.

My biggest swing flaw now is a small flip.
