Rife Trinidad - Awesome

Well I finally broke down and bought a new putter. I have been striking the ball awesome all summer and just could not putt. So in July I set out in search of a new putter. After trying probably 100 or more putters I knew I wanted something center shafted. I used to be a very good putter in college with a Bullseye. It came down to the Rife Trinidad and the SC Newport 2.6. Essentially the same putter really. I came across a deal for the Trinidad so I bought one...and man is this thing awesome. Swings really nice, puts and awesome roll on the ball and for some reason it is so easy to line up. Head is very easy to square to my target. Only issue I have is the grip. It is just too squishy for me. I will get that swapped out soon.

I was thiking about getting The Trinidad for myself for my birthday in a couple months, ive been trying it out at Golf Galaxy but just dont have the cash for it now. Let us know how it works out after a couple rounds.

yeah idk what Rife was thinking with that grip. first thing i did was switch the grip out.

I have been hitting the Rife 400 Mid Mallet in the store and I am seriously considering buying. What is most impressive with a Rife is how they go where I put them. I can still miss the hell out of em, but the rolls are so true it is easier for me to correct my mistake. All the insert putters I have been hitting have the same feel 6 feet in...must be me. Even the Rife inserts I hit were no good.

I like the Barbados as well. A bit easier and faster to line up, but I get hypnotized by those long lines in the back and lose my stroke on occasion.

I lined up 6 balls in an 8ish foot arc and told myself if I made 5 of 6 I would make my decision in the morning. I made all 6 so we shall see. My Bullseye is the only club left in my 15 year old bag that I decided to upgrade this year.
