Yeah, they probably could but JD only talks to people that worship him. The conversation would probably start out fine until Tiger disagreed with some aspect of JD's "sage advice" - prompting JD to trash Tiger and the PGA via twitter and then quit golf.

LOL, I think that can go both ways.

If crazy old John Daly knows anything in this world it's how to hit a driver. He's missed a lot of putts in the past few years, , but in his prime he was solid in every aspect ot he game. Very good short game, very good long game, and off the tee . . . poetry in motion. He's got some mental problems and has battled addictions (cigarettes, chocolate cupcakes, booze, floozies, golfing shirtless, etc) but I don't doubt TW would benefit from a chat with JD.

I guess this is what I was trying to say in my earlier post, albeit not very well. JD has sure fought some devils (and seems to have overcome them) in his time. He has also has won a couple of majors which is more than most professionals can say. So he might have some unique insights into the struggles that Tiger is going through and Tiger might benefit by listening to JD. But one of the more difficult things to learn in life is how to learn from the experiences of others. As my Dad used to tell me "A mule can learn from its' own experiences, take intelligence and humility to learn from the experiences of others". There seem to be a lot of folks in life that think because of their success believe that there is nothing to learn from those that are not a successful as themselves.

I don't really disagree but I don't think it's true across the board. For example, do you suppose Tiger could learn anything about driving from me? I mean . .I suppose it's possible but it doesn't seem likely. In truth, though, most of my contempt is just because it's John Daly and John Daly is forever doing stupid things just to draw attention to himself.

I think Tiger could learn from Bubba or Dustin or somebody like that, though. Somebody who can at least play golf (in the present-tense)

Sometimes it's not that you learn how to do something

right from someone, sometimes you just learn what not to do :P

Tiger hit his driver only 1 or 2 times and still won The Open at Hoylake. That's some great golf.
