I live in the Northeast, NY to be exact, and it is getting close to the end of the golf season. My wife and I play golf together and we were talking about a possible get away or two over the winter to play golf. This would likely be for a long weekend so the length of travel time is important. We have gone to Florida and Bermuda in the past and enjoyed ourselves but I thought I would ask if anyone has other recommendations.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Myrtle Beach could be a cheap alternative - and you're there within 2 hrs flight, tons of cheap packages too - talk to EatDrinkSleepGolf member of this forum - he should be able to hook you up. Of course weather is not as solid as Florida, but if you time it right - you'll enjoy 70's in December or February...

AZ!

Scottsdale can't be beat!

How about Mexico? Has anyone golfed there in the winter? What did you think? Would you recommend any particular places. Thanks!

I recommend Myrtle Beach as well. Can't go wrong! There are over 100 courses inside the city. I really like the legends course, it's a scottish style. I think there is a pete dye course in the legends complex too. If I remember correctly there are three courses at the legends, all wonderful.

Yes, Moorland is a Dye course and there are 3 Legends courses at their complex: Moorland, Heathland and Parkland.

Which one is the Scottish style I forget. Played it once during july and it was 99* but I still had a lot of fun!
