Actually, when talking to an engineer in one of the states' air quality control boards, I got a shock... he said the city where he worked had exceeded a few air quality standards (meaning they were in violation of getting a better rating) and it was due to mountain cedar trees emitting too much "pollution" during a couple a months each year when they would pollinate. So not only do some trees attack golfers, skiers, sky divers, and cause lightening attraction, they can also lower your air quality in a very specific way (but likely not overall, of course.) Imagine the evil. Sort of reminds me of when I learned if you drink too much water, it can be poisonous to you.

I had an approach to a par 4, 6 iron or something. Between me and the hole was a thin, dead tree with one tiny branch. I steered well clear of the tree, but of course managed to hit that little branch and the ball fell straight down again. Good thing is the branch broke and won't bother me again.

Stay in the fairway and you'll escape most of the trees.

One time at a course by me there is a par 4, it's about 300 to the back of the fairway, you need to hit 270 to clear a tree to get a DECENT approach. My friend and I both hit it short and proceeded to hit both of our next shots off the tree blocking the way, and we BOTH ended up farther back than we were. First time I've seen two people do the same thing like that

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
