Hey guys, I got a job in Korea and will be moving there at the end of this year... Golf equipments in Korea is really over priced and I'm looking to change my golf clubs. I usually shoot around low to mid 90s and about 140 yards with my x - 24 7 iron.. My game has improved over the summer and i finally broke 90 2 month ago... I love my x -24 but I just want more feedback from my club... also want something less forgiving. I got a natural mini fade swing. I haven't hit any of these clubs other than MP 53s old version MP 52.. It felt great. I'm leaning towards MP 53 or X forged (this is $500 at Amazon =) ) but price isn't a big factor... I'll be going to golf shops around Blacksburg/Roanoke (VA) area to test clubs. Also one more thing.. should i get club fitting for these sets??? I'm really comfortable with my x-24s shaft length and I know Mp53s are quarter inch shorter than my x-24s but shouldn't be a problem...
which one would you buy? I would love to get some replies from owners of these clubs.. thanks guys!

well if you are looking for a club with more feedback and that has less forgiveness that X-24's, i would recomemend AP2's. More of a players iron, but still has SOME forgiveness.....i personally switched from MP30's to AP2's a few months back, love the AP2's! ball just seems to fly perfect for me.

Keep it where the mowers go!

..... but I never understand what people mean ...... if they say they want less forgiviness ....... I prefer all the forgiviness I can get, in a club that still allows me to work the ball........

go to a golf shop, hit em all with a pro and get fitted for the ones that best suit you, especially if price is not a big factor for you.

Personally I'm a Mizuno fan, but I'd suggest getting the set that you hit the best, feels the best to you and s/u the best your eye.

Hey, go to a Mizuno fitter if price isn't much of an issue. They can fit you for length and lie easily then put you on a launch monitor to see which shafts will fit you well. They'll like pick out a few shafts and then have you hit them to see how they feel to you. They also pick out a few of their heads for you to hit with the shaft that you like. After all is said and done you will have new found confidence in your clubs.

I would get the x-24's....oh wait

That does seem like the obvious answer doesn't it? Dude could pick up a vintage set of Hogan Apex (or something like that - you know what I mean) and hang onto those X-24s. That's what I'd do, but what the H do I know?

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
