Well, after a couple month layoff due to a back injury, I went and had a couple lessons to get back into the swing of things, and then I've played 5 rounds in the past 3 weeks. I have never played so well in my life!!! Every round, even the 1st one out was an 87.

Today, I got a new personal best on the course with an 83. I'm loving the game again, and it seems the layoff wasn't bad for my game at all. All that stretching and exercising the back in physical therapy must have really helped.

I'm back excited about the game again!!!

Well, I am ont suprised! There was time I played almost everyday and the score wasn't reflecting it . Somehow was getting worse and worse. I decided to take some time off, spending more time doing gardening and just take a breather for quite a while. There was a little tournament comming, I didn't want to play. I thought my swing is off, but then I forced my self and guess what, I had the best time ever and one of the best rounds!

Great job!!! Can't wait to read your next post about breaking 80

Great job Bullit!!! Breakthru's like that are huge. I remember busting 100 like it was yesterday.

That is awesome man. I pulled a rotator cuff about 6 years ago. Took a few months off (had to), got back on the range and swung easy, taking 2/3 swings. That is when I realized I had been overswinging my whole life. I gripped the club lighter, swung easier, hit the ball just as far. Sometimes opportunity comes from adversity. Have fun, stretch, keep your health a priority as you continue to get back into the game.

    • Day 21 - Good session with driver and 6i. Hitting real golf balls is quite a bit different from the foam balls, still getting used to that change.
    • There are so many videos comparing and contrasting everything that I am both overwhelmed and more than a bit skeptical. Your comments above are much more valuable than hours of you-tube videos. Generally speaking, I’d much prefer to read something that someone took the time and trouble to write (such as your comments) than a bunch of videos, or worse, meaningless reviews that seem like they are all cut and paste selections of the same script. I’m more of a RTFM type than a watcher of “instructional” videos. By way of explanation, I don’t watch TV either.  So thanks - I’ll take that under advisement. I have an H3 that I bought for $10 that I’ve been carrying around but not sure why. Seems like a cool club, but I just don’t really know what to do with it.
    • I was using the window as a mirror. Just trying to be a more aware of the feels for a better backswing. Trying to not be as closed from A1 to A2. Then not letting the club head flip inside. What I was feeling was a pressure my right wrist, and like the palm of my right hand was pushing upward against the grip of the club. My right hand was the underside of the swing path.  Going to play around with this a bit more. It looked pretty decent with mirror/window work. Just wanted to jot it down.
    • Day 4: 3/26/25 Par4Success workout followed by putting through 50 mm gates.
    • Day 249: did a stack putting session and then worked on 5 foot putts for a bit.
