if a group on the PGA tour asked a slow-playing group in front of them if they could play through?

imagine a rory sabatini-led group being held up by a group with ben crane and jim furyk, and finally having enough and asking to play through? i think it would be hysterical...

I wonder if the PGA Tour would allow such things. When you attend a TOUR event, you get a pairings guide -- I wonder if it would be a bad customer experience to have trouble finding their desired pairing.

On a Saturday/Sunday, it's a little worse, if one or both groups contain a player in contention.

who the hell cares? seriously, these guys need to be embarassed out there into playing faster by having a group play thru them, or either penalize them strokes instead of just putting them on the clock and then not doing anything about it. all it does is teach joe schmoe at my local course to play as slow as possible.

I thought I saw a post ryder cup match interview with furyk saying that they got played through and that it was "akward".But I barely saw the interview because someone was flipping though channels so I dont' know if it was out of context ? anyways funny if true.

Wasn't he playing with Dustin Johnson? I think he was pissed about the deal. But it was because of the weather delays and running two rounds at the same time.
