Play one less round on Saturdays the next few weeks and figure it out.

If I knew how to figure out what is wrong I would. I have gone to the range in past and can get driver straight and then go straight to course and can never duplicate it on course. I have hit full out swings on range and hit them right where I want them and they are all 250 out but I dont think I have really ever hit a driver where I wanted it to go on the course when swinging over 70%

WITB:

  • Driver: Titleist TSR3 8.0 A3, Badazz 60g S
  • Hybrid: Cobra Baffler 17*
  • Irons: T200 P-4
  • Wedges: Callaway X Forged 48*,56*,60*
  • Putter: Ping Anser Milled

sounds like you might be pressing yourself to hit the long ball when you get out on the course. In all honesty, you don't even need the driver to score well and it sounds like it's getting you into more trouble than it's worth right now. I learned a heck of a lesson years ago by a guy who had been overseas for a few years and hadn't played golf while away. When he got there, he had a 7 iron, a wedge and a putter and he proceeded to shoot 76 on a 6300 yd course. If you're looking at the score and like the old saying goes, it's not how, it's how many. I'd say leave the driver at home and bring the clubs you can hit comfortably.

Hitting an effective draw should provide the extra distance that you are looking for.  Your slilce could be caused by several factors, but I assume that you have already tried to correct your slice with swing, face alignment, etc.  If the new driver addresses your slice problem, why not just buy it and correct the slice NOW, without going through the time, money and agravation of more lessons.  If the new driver should not work to your satisfaction..... put it on Ebay and move on.  Us amatures need to use anything that works to help our game.  Good luck
