Size Matters in putting

I used to subscribe to the heavier-is-better theory of putters and had been using a rather massive one until very recently.  I did find I was more accurate in direction with the heavier one (higher MOI definitely helps there), but the loss of feel and thus distance control has been a real problem.  So now I'm moving to a lighter one, but it's still a mallet and heavier than most on the market I believe.

In my case, the problem is more with the putter than it is with the putter, if you know what I mean.

Driver: Cobra 460SZ 9.0, med.
3 Wood: Taylor stiff
3-hybrid: Nike 18 deg stiff
4-hybrid: Taylor RBZ 22 deg regular
Irons:5-9, Mizuno MP30, steel
Wedges: PW, 52, 56, 60 Mizuno MP30
Putter: Odyssey 2-ball

I think that's fairly normal.

That is a light putter.
