Golf Ball Finding Glasses

Got these bad boys for christmas.

Filters out the grass color and makes it easier to see the ball. They seem like they work nicely.

I've seen these at Sharper Image a bunch of times. If they made them look more like sunglasses and less like those glasses you buy at Lowes for work and stuff I might buy a pair, but I don't deny that they work.

I played with a guy this fall with a pair. they worked great.

I got a floating ball. The package says, "put this in play when you have a difficult shot over a water hazard" lol. I told my mom I might get laughed off the tee box with that ball.

I never understood those. What do you do, then - wait for it to float close enough to the edge that you can get it? Except for streams or balls you top into the edge of the hazard, most are still going to be difficult to retrieve.

That is hilarious, like the joke about the guy whos bragging his ball cant get lost, not in the woods, not in the water, not anywhere. Then when asked where you can buy it,  the guys says, beats me, I found it.

I have about 5 dozen of the floating golf balls. I live on a pond so I hit them into the pond and then they are noramlly back my the edge by the next morning and I will go take a qucik walk around pond to pick them all up. Saves alot of money on going to the range. Only thing that sucks is I can only hit up to about a 7 iron, going to the 6 iron I start to put some on the other edge.

I was intrigued when I saw these in a store but figured they wouldn't really be all that helpful in the rough when you can't see the ball at all anyways.

Do they only work with standard white balls?

How reliable are these glasses when it comes to locating where our balls go? I might consider buying one if it's that helpful in locating the balls again.
