How beneficial would a rangefinder be?

My GXII allows me to paint back and forth across the flagstick for a quick reading. I don't need to hold the unit so still as to purely bounce off the stick. So you don't need to be a statue to get readings.  And it is invaluable for ready golf, since you don't have to look for course markers ever. I can bounce it off the grass in front of the green or a tree behind it. Sometimes I bounce it off the fat guys backside who's playing from the water hazard crossing the par 5, it keeps me out of trouble then.

I remember the first round that I had my rangefinder, I was on the 18th hole which has a second shot carry over water then a cavernous bunker to an elevated shallow green.  I had 110 to carry the bunker and 125 to the pin and gripped down on my pw and hit it just under the pin.  At that point I knew that I would never look back.

Whats great is knowing the general yardage, then using feel to hit it right were you want to..

Rangerfinders are nice, and so are GPS, but i like just knowing what club i am at, then just using feel.

What is your experience?  and the one i am looking at is a Bushnell yardage pro sport 450.  anything i should know about this model?  i will use it for golf and hunting.

Rangefinders can have a great affect on your game.  It gives you the opportunity to match feel with wedges, with an actual concrete number.  This goes for every club in the bag.  For example if a bunker is 265 to carry and you know that you carry your driver only 255 this can be some really handy information.  Not to mention getting exact distances to the pin from where ever your ball may happen to be.
