I was delightfully surprised to learn that my home course: "Hidden Valley Golf Club" was voted National Golf Course of The Year and Public Golf Course of The Year by The National Golf Course Owners Association.

I thought it was cool enough to share…

And a yellow ball.

That's awesome. :-) ...And hopefully doesn't come with a rates hike. :-P

Yup. The rates are outstanding all things considered… If I had to pick a down side to the course its the driving range… Hahaha

The mens club is super cheap too. $100 to rejoin every year. What kills me is that nobody ever plays in the monthly tournaments… Why, I don't know. The prizes are paid in cash (not script). The course is hard, but that shouldn't be enough to scare people away from playing in a tournament. I would think that it would make things more equal. There are about 150 members, yet we only get 10-15 people at each tournament. The other club I play at gets about 90 people at each tournament. It is a city course, but still not easy… Haha, I have a thing for hard courses. Hahaha

    • That makes more sense thanks.  I'll give it a go.  That other video really helps.  Will post another video once I practice it a bit and appreciate the help as always.
    • Day 25: range and putting session. Worked about an hour at the range. Filmed a bit - think some progress but need more. Then went and worked on putts within 10 feet for about 20 minutes.

    • Day 45 (22 Apr 26) - good friend wanted to play the Weds shootout. Glad we did as I had the most consistent round in a while - 38/41 for a 79 (first sub 80 in months): 27 putts, 9 pars (7 were up and down 1 putts), 8 bogies, 1 birdie and 0 dbls or worse!  This is the 1st full round where I’ve not had at least one dbl (or worse) and 0 penalties.  I also came 1 hole from having “no sixes” (bogied the par five 16th).  All the drills came together today for a solid round.
    • Day 568 - 2026-04-22 Created a 33-minute playlist and paused it while I stopped. I mostly did some backswing and a little downswing work with the mirror. This got me most of the way through the playlist, so then I chopped for a good 15 or 20 minutes.
