Hello,

We are a group of engineering students who are interested in golf's technology. For that reason, we would like to know your opinions about the golf through a simple poll. Answer the poll won't take you more than 5 minutes and it will be very useful for us and for the world of golf as itself.

Thank you very much for your time,

Hello sean_miller,

I'm trying to copy the poll here but I'm not sure if it's going to be seen correctly. If it's not, please try to enter the link below and it would be easier for both of us.

For what it's worth, I completed the online survey.

It's very unlikely that you'll get useful data with the survey written the way that it is.

I agree. I have a PGA card, but that's not a GHIN card or a handicap index... nor is it a PGA Tour card. You have to know something about what you're asking or you confuse people.

I can't tell you how glad I am that you're using your engineering talents to solve the pressing problem of punctuation use on the golf course.   I can't count the number of strokes I've lost over the years while fretting over whether I should be using a semi-colon or a regular colon.   It's all so confusing.

Agreed.  Second only to 'shooting path' path for me.  Whatever shooting path may mean...

i agree with the other posters, the questions aren't worded very well, rather bizarre actually.  i couldn't fill it out because i felt i had to read too much into each question to understand what's really being asked.

with that being said, it appears to me someone is trying to build up information on whether people would be interested in some "technology" that will help them find their lost balls.

In my Grom Stand bag:

Driver: Ping G20, 8.5 Tour Stiff
Wood/Hybrid: G20 3W, Raylor 19*, 22*
Irons: R9 5I - SW, TM CGB LW

Putter: Scotty Cameron Kombi-Mid

Favorites: Old Ranch (Seal Beach), Ike/Babe (Industry Hills), Skylinks (Long Beach), Desert Willow (Palm Desert)

I already have that technology.  I call her wife.  When I notice my balls are lost I'll call here and find out her current location!

I'm a retired engineer and I assume you are doing this for a class and have a specific data set you want to develop.  Since it is clear none of you are golfers I suggest you contact some of the local golf professionals at a local course or two and set up an appointment to meet with them.  I'm sure they will be willing to help if you explain your efforts and will help you develop the questionnaire.  Good Luck!
