Hello everyone, I've been trying to really improve lately but have been in quite a bit of a slump recently, due in large part to hitting a lot of thin shots/ weak fades.  I posted my swing on here about 8 months ago and the immediate answer was the fact that I was swaying way too much in my backswing leading to inconsistency, and I feel that I have since fixed this.

I have six videos, a 5 iron DTL & Face on, along with the same two views with a 60 degree wedge and my driver.  Hopefully this gives plenty of vantage points to look from, and if any other view/ club video is needed post it here and i'll get it up asap.  Again, I'm hitting lots of thin shots, and a weak fade from time to time.  I seem unable to hit a draw, but hit the occasional very solid shot also. In all, very inconsistent.  Any help is appreciated, thanks guys!

I trust someone more qualified will chime.  I can not seem to see enough frames to get a true picture but I do not see any slide forward with your hips.  It does not look like you are really transferring your weight.

Check out this thread.  Your hips do not slide at all.

Bump up..... I have been working on the hip slide, what are some good drills other than the tripod one mentioned in the link?

Having trouble downloading video to my V1 software.     Quick glance you are still swaying and more importantly you are getting on top of your hip rather then into the right side.  Do you notice how your right hip is high and lost its level at the top of the swing?      This causes your shoulders to be to steep.  At the top you have dropped the left hip and never got off your left side.  So How can you slide into your left side.   You dont want to slide anyway.    By never getting into your right side and steep shoulders you will have to back up and out of the shot because you are ahead of the ball. You then flip with the right hand to square the face...  Everybody is telling you about your flip but dont tell you that if you did not flip it you would hit low bullets that would go miles right.    what happens before is what is causing the flip.

You need to kick your right knee toward the target at address to lower your right hip to match your shoulder tilt.        You then want to practice your pivot by turning into the right thigh..  You will feel a stretch in your inner right thigh and left lat......  Your right hip will go back toward your heel and toward the target.

Dude you need to take vids with you hitting the ball. It's hard for anyone to give you any real advice with a practice swing.

    • It’s not live on free to air tv in the UK, and hasn’t been since 1995. ( I pay a subscription to Sky for generally good golf coverage). There are limited highlights on the BBC for some golf events, but that’s it. Are other/all PGA events on NBC?  Allowing ticket scalping is a systemic failure across sports and showbiz, which could be legislated against, but in the UK is not in any meaningful way. I don’t know much about the secondary market in the US or anti scalping measures.  Charging more to keep prices down is an interesting concept, in practice no doubt you are right even if It sounds a bit Catch 22  Do you think sports tickets and broadcast rights  should be sold on a purely capitalist basis, or is there an argument to say that some sports might benefit more from wider exposure and affordable access. ( golf in the US is apparently not one of these if tickets sold out at those prices so quickly)  Fans might benefit from cheaper tickets and in the UK at least, TV coverage that reaches a wider audience.
