my bro got the vr on demo and forgot to ask them and they didnt have the wrench to adjust it.  How can you tell what setting it is on.  if you look down the club at the front of the club at the bottom near the hosel it is inline with R does that mean it is set to open 2 degrees?

I second this.  If you search the internet you can find the manual with pics online.  I think the 2 arrows indicate neutral, R is 2* open, L is 2* closed, and the other settings are in between.

I have the same problem, I got a vr pro driver used and it did not come with the settings chart.  So i just tinkered with it until I got it where I want it.  Also I am left handed, so if "R" is 2 open for a right handed driver, is it still two open for a left handed one? Or is it 2 closed?

Scroll down and click on the picture with the blue, yellow and red arrows.  That opens the whole settings chart.  In regards to whether the settings mean the same thing for leftys, I have no idea.  Best bet is probably to email Nike and get the answer from them.  They have been  quick in answering for me in the past.
